The state of Michigan is far from a hole. Yes there are parts of downtown that are just like Texas.

Only Detroit is a hole (and sometimes Kalamazoo). The further north you go, the nicer the state gets.

Michigan is actually quite beautiful. But our most recognized city blows.

Kind of like how many people are shocked to learn not all of the state of New York is a crappy overpopulated megacity... The majority of New York State is gorgeous country with lakes and trees... Whoodathunkit?
