Good call. Questionable red.
Good call. Questionable red.
LOL what? No. Back line has been solid as all .
Both teams really deserve this
Red was completely justified. Denial of a goal scoring chance on that tackle. How hard the hit was is irrelevant if you're the last defender on a foul like that.
Yeah - a lot of heart on display out there.
This game has just been phenomenal.
Someone who knows soccer: I thought that kind of a red card resulted in a penalty kick because she had a clear path to the goal. Why was it just a free kick?
No it has to be in the box to be a penalty.
getting crominated by France and giving up two leads today is not my def of solid as .
Japan had numerous good looks and possessed it well in the USA's third.
It must be inside the box, clear path means a red..
She got one, missed. Well I'm not a soccer person but I think that was a penalty kick
BTW, this is one of the best Finals I've ever seen in soccer.
Color of card has no bearing on whether or not there is a penalty kick. The large box you see in front of the goal is called the penalty box. All fouls inside that box - whether or not there's a card - mean there is a penalty kick.
That foul was just outside the box hence the FK and not the PK.
I think USA has the advantage with penalty kicks
Back line has made two real mistakes in the back. One resulted in goal. CK wasn't a mistake but just an amazing goal. The defense definitely did not get dominated by France at all, DPG. The midfield did, but the blackline has owned every game.
No one ever plays mistake free.
It's questionable. That means no one would be upset either way. With the way she has called the game w almost 0 cards, she could have let that one go.
Oh , Hope Solo better bring out her A game
Its not questionable at all. Thats almost always a stright red.
Oh my - maybe we finally ran out of magic.
