Bill Walton. Considering what he did with that Blazers team, imagine if he'd had been injury free for at least 10 years. Were talking about a top 10 player of all time no question.
Yeah because we were going to win 62 games with Robinson out for a season
AJ, Del Negro, Perdue
Dat Team
burned out and being raped of a career by injuries are two separate things.
Shawn Kemp is one of the first that comes to my mind. Another is Dennis "D3" Scott. Scott's career was shooting towards the sky, until those missed FTs in the 95 Finals....after that, he was never the same.
You would be CelticsFan, same clown face, but different leg to ride.
actually that's a ing huge stretch but ok
my god, i've never heard of you, but you've had two of the tiest takes I've ever seen on here in only a span of a few hours.
lol Dwight Howard getting dominated in Europe
lol Bill Walton a no question top 10 player if healthy
havent read the whole thread but derrick Coleman had a series against the cavs in the 90's that made me and many others think we had seen the future at PF. DC scored, boarded defended at such a high level ... as much as I loved Kemp I thought DC would be better.
On that note, Kemp got fat ... if either had the work ethic or duncan, KG or dirk either could of been the best PF in NBA history over duncan, malone and chuck ...ESPECIALLY Coleman.
derek anderson
brain grant
rashard lewis
antoine walker
aaron brookes
Agreed, too many guys who had their career derailed instead of "burned out".
OTOH, wasn't Anderson the dude who missed all those FTs?
My list would include Shawn Kemp and Vin Baker.
If you include injuries, I am not sure how Ralph Sampson hasn't made it yet.
Kenny Anderson and Chris Morris were both on that Nets team and they were the same types as DC- talented but only played when they wanted to. New Jersey in that era was a team full of wasted talent. Petrovic was the only guy who showed up every night.
Not really sure if Brooks burned out. He had 1 really good year offensively, but teams somewhat figured out how to guard him, and it ed with his head. Undersized guards who play no defense aren't meant to last long.
I recall watching some Youtube videos of him about a year ago and I also noticed that he had a feathery soft jump shot. Was he as good of a shooter as he looked like in those clips?
There was also this insane block where his hand is near the top of the backboard, freaking amazing!
Basically he looked like he had the whole package - Incredible athleticism, feathery soft jumper, and decent passer too. His body reminded me of Lebron a bit. Lebron before Lebron, but a better player?
Also, how did the Celtics draft him? Didn't they win the Championship the year before? If so, how do they get the draft a player like Bias? How was the draft setup back then?
I agree Tait, but Coleman had what was a breakout that series and was never the same ever again TBH...again that series I was actually rooting for the Cavs ... i liked them. nance, price brad young Ron harper heck even ehlo ... they played ball the right way. magic called them the future but it was never fully realized ...those teams were way better than the lebron cavs too ...
would pay good money to see late 80' early 90's Cavs vs. mavs or heat from last year ...
Nance would of had a "shot" at defending dirk ...
Jerry Stackhouse
Jermaine O'Neal
Juwan Howard
Keith Van Horn
Nick Van Exel
Stupidhead is as Stupidhead does...
Alfredrick Hughes.
Drafted mid-lottery. Started his first season in the NBA with tons of promise, strung together some amazing games but mostly just sucked, then steadily lurched towards being waived at season's end, never to play NBA basketball again. What the happened to that guy?
Brandon Roy
Jermaine O'Neal
Richard Jefferson
