Point guard Chris Quinn, who spent last season with the San Antonio Spurs, has signed a one-year, $1 million deal with Russian League team Khimki, based in Moscow, according to his agent.

Quinn's contract does not have a clause that would allow him to return to play in the NBA next season should the current lockout end.
"He wanted to play," said Mark Bartlestein, Quinn's agent. "Now he's going to have a season and earn a living. He's not a guy who has made a fortune in the NBA, so to know he has a sure thing is very valuable. Rather than waiting on things he has no control over, like this lockout, it makes perfect sense to make a deal like this."
Quinn, 27, has played for the Heat, Nets and Spurs over five seasons. He made a career-high $1.07 million while playing for the Nets two seasons ago and $875,000 with the Spurs last season.
He had his most productive season in 2007-08, averaging 7.8 points and three assists in 22 minutes.

it is just asinine how much $ NBA players make
Lol Hamster face.
And yet, if I had made $1.07 million plus $875,000, I would say I had made a fortune. It's all relative I guess. He's not a guy who has made a fortune in the NBA
It's very likely we will see more fringe NBA players going to other leagues to make a living. Teams in Europe may be able to pay them in line with what they were making as bench players here while they wouldn't be able to pay good veteran players what they had been making, much less the better players with big contracts.
CIA Pop's trained a protege, I see.
Yeah, there goes the le. I'm sure Pop will address this in his first team meeting.
"Fellows, Chris Quinn is not walking through that door."
Agree. One effect of the lockout is that some teams could have troubles filling properly the deep end of their bench. Spurs shouldn't be in that case givne that they have a lot of players under contract in 11-12.
i bet you that he will be the MVP in Russia.
You'll come back like you always do you little roach.
IS LIES!!!!
he's no Bouroussis, but he'll do.
Hopefully that clears the way for Cory Joseph.
Quinn's talent is a dime a dozen. Good move by him. The loss of Danny Green would be more but not by much.
there goes the Mighty Quinn
