The Difference Between Blasters and Lightsabers.

We know they are completely differnet weapons. Using a blaster is as easy as pressing a button.

But what I don't understand is why a guy with a blaster can actually believe he can kill a guy with a lightsaber. We all know a guy with a lightsaber can easily deflect blaster bolts by use of the lightsaber and redirect them to the shooter.

Here is an example of what I mean: (this is from a movie I recently watched.)

Well, I am a master of medieval weaponry but I have been known to dabble with futuristic weapons as well. Since I am able to travel through time and different dimensions I have used both the sabre and a blaster.
While the sabre is my weapon of choice I can see how the blaster would be of use. If a jedi's mind is not clear then he could have trouble with his sabre.

It depends on the proficiency of the user. Boba Fett defeats a lightsabre carrier at about 2:50. But then Samuel Jackson kills Fett with his lightsabre.
And btw, you can't use a group of clones with blasters as any kind of real sample group.

I hope this is a joke. In that same movie, that guy you depict, I think his name is Manolo, was embarrassed by a goofy dude wearing all black.

Supposedly this Manolo was the fastest blaster draw in the galaxy and yet when he tried to kill this big black masked dude point blank, the dude just stared at him and with his hand swatted Manolo's blaster bolts like they were flies.
