Alabama is definitely in the mix for Raulerson, I think A&M might have an outside shot as well. He was very impressive when he attended the camp here.
Per GatorBait, Florida offered 2013 OL/DL Jake Raulerson recently. With his family having ties to Gainesville, it looks like a Texas/Florida battle. I like UT in the end, though.

DE Julien Obioha has committed to Texas A&M. He is better than his ranking suggests.
That's #21 for A&M. They are hoping for a Dalton Santos/Denzel Devall combo to pretty much finalize this class.
Obioha is legit. That's a big pick up.
I think A&M splits between Santos and Devall. Landing Santos, but Devall slipping to Bama. If they get both, that's arguably the top linebacker class in the nation.
With Obioha committing, Tomme Mark probably doesn't see an offer anytime soon. If they can somehow land Santos and Devall and maybe 1 more DB than they should be done with this class for now, still leaving a couple spots open for "best available type" players depending on how we perform on the field this season.
Blake Monroe
The reports of Jackson Jeffcoat being Andrus Peat's host on his UT visit are false. Peat just told me it was RB Malcolm Brown. #Horns
The main recruiting sites now have some info on the visit. Have you guys read anything significant/interesting?
Blake Munroe
Just spoke with Lousiana DB Landon Collins. He told me that he's definitely still interested in Texas and will take an official visit to UT
Landon Collins is a beast. Best 2012 safety by far.
Here are some quotes from Peat's coach:
“He gave me a big smile and said great,” Coach Joseph said. “It seemed like he really enjoyed it. He didn’t go into detail but it was a pleasurable visit.”
“I’ve never seen him light up like that when I’ve asked him about a visit.”
Some other random stuff:
- Vince Young has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles (supposedly)
- Roy Williams has signed with the Chicago Bears
- OU has verbally offered 2013 RB Altee Tenpenny of Little Rock, AR
- A&M has verbally offered 2013 RB Keith Ford of Cypress Ranch
http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecr...th-Ford-119517
- DE Victor Irokansi of Pflugerville Hendrickson has committed to Ok State

Good pull Floss. The Hook Em 247 guys seem to think that Texas has done everything on their end to put themselves in a good position with Peat. The official visit will be huge. Peat mentioned visiting Texas again when the 2012 commits are in town. I think the Football Banquet in December would be a good official visit weekend because all of the commits have historically attended. Texas could have some real momentum with Peat if he makes an official visit in November / December and then spends a week in January 2012 with 10 Texas commits at the UA All American Game.
Kudos to the Texas coaches for killing it with the OOS unofficial visits. Every blue chip OOS recruit has left Austin gushing about Texas. Whatever they're doing it's working. Hopefully, we'll see results soon.
Tenpenny will probably be the most heavily recruited running back in the 2013 class. I think Texas will make a play for The Dime, but it'll be interesting to watch how patient the coaches are in their recruitment of Tenpenny. If Texas can lock up James White and Dontre Wilson early, I think they'll probably go that route rather than waiting on Tenpenny.
Keith Ford is an interesting back. He's listed at 5'11'' 195 and I believe he runs in the 4.6 range. I hate to admit it, but Aggie has done a good job evaluating running backs recently. An offer this early tells me that Aggie thinks Ford can play. It's interesting that Aggie offered Ford, but hasn't offered James White yet.
I was a Cy Fair ISD graduate, it's amazing how much talent is coming out of that area. The District is already the third largest in the state and growing. Northwest Houston / Cypress looks like an emerging talent hot bed. Cy Falls is loaded with 2013 Division 1 recruits.
2013 ATH Ty Slanina has committed to the Aggies.

Slanina runs like a deer.

2012 commit Connor Brewer....dude looks sick
Good article on WR Dorial Green-Beckham and his family:

Random tweet that I came across from a columnist is St. Louis:
REIDLAYMANCE
And my Texas friends will be glad to see Mack Brown had dinner with Dorial Green-Beckham, family http://bit.ly/raclpv #hookem
Just an update that DB Colin Blake of San Antonio Brandeis hasn't heard much from UT in a while, but he says he may get to Austin before the end of the summer to visit campus and speak with the coaching staff in person. He's currently planning two official visits to OU and Florida State and will make decisions on the other three at a later time. Here are some quotes from him:
“A few weeks ago I would have thought they were going to offer me in the coming weeks but they still haven’t,” Blake said. “I don’t know if they’re still talking to other DBs but I have no clue with Texas.”
“It’s nothing where if they offer I’d commit right away, but that’s a school I grew up watching,” Blake said. “They played my favorite game ever to watch - the 2006 Rose Bowl game. I’ll never forget that game. I don’t know, I’ve always liked Texas and one of my good friends goes there. Mykkele Thompson, I became friends with him this past year. It would be a real cool offer and a blessing to have because it’s Texas, but I’d definitely still think about the other schools. I’m not some guy who just changes his mind like that.”
Surprised symple hasn't come on here and mentioned this, but I forgot to add above that Green-Beckham took an unofficial visit to Auburn this weekend. I think it's a race between OU and Mizzou with Texas making up ground.
Good stuff Floss. I'm a little surprised the Beckhams and Mack have dinner stuff is just coming out now and from a columnist in St. Louis. The Beckhams really do have a gag order in place with recruiting sites.
I hope Blake makes it down for an unofficial before the season. Blake has long been a BFLT favorite. Floss do you think Blake's offer is contingent upon what Geno Smith decides, or what Landon Collins decides? I don't like Blake making officials to OU and FSU. He could pull the trigger on either visit. I think the 2012 class needs a tall corner to round it out.
So if Texas has cooled on Blake, have they done the same with Justin Thomas?
I'd love to get him.
