To quote Douglas Adams, "Always know where your towel is". A small towel is an indespensible tool for a new father. Your newborn has an inborn talent for launching various toxic substances in your direction from every orifice in his tiny body. Having a towel nearby to drape over your shoulder when holding him, or to intercept a potential drenching when changing a diaper, will do wonders for your fragile, sleep-deprived psyche, not to mention preserving your wardrobe from anointing with various foul and obscene substances.
