Moss, simply due to numbers and on-field performance.
I would even give Owens a slight edge on the toxicity factor.
Plus, TO is a drop machine
He gets a pass for that game since he was playing with a high ankle sprain and the o-line played like ass.
After that season, I honestly can say Brady has done nothing to prove he isn't anything more than a glorified Tony Romo.

Kobe quit for like 24 minutes of his career.
Its almost like you're saying its ok for him to be lazy for half of his career and it doesn't count against his work ethic because he worked hard where it counts; in the weight room.
You make it sound like he pulled an Albert Haynesworth quit job. It doesn't matter how naturally talented you are, you can't be a successful NFL player unless you work hard. Even if you admittedly quit on plays.
Look at his ing numbers and tell me he "only worked hard in the weight room".
Nice emoticon.
Seriously though, no one is saying he didn't put up all-time great numbers we're talking about how hard he played. He "played when he wanted to play". And according to Brady he didn't want to play hard last year, he didn't want to play hard for the raiders for two years, and he was known for slacking on plays with Minnesota. As freaky as his numbers are they could have been significantly better.
When did Brady say he didn't want to play hard last year? Link me a quote.
So does Tim Duncan have a bad work ethic for quitting on his ing country? Yes or no.
Its "according to a source" since Brady would never come out and say it himself: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/68...ome-nfl-missed
I didn't watch a second of the 2004 Olympics so I don't know anything about that. I forgot he was on that team until you mentioned it.
Duncan shouldn't have even been on the team tbh. lol some island country that got wrecked by a hurricane shouldn't count.
I wanted to be a swimmer![]()
tbh considering the mediocre quarterbacks he had (except for 2007 and 2009) its amazing to think what Moss could have done had he been hooked up with awesome QBs like Montana and Young and had Rice's work ethic.
Is this some kind of argument or point? Duncan may have quit he may not, like I said I don't remember those Olympics so I don't know. Not sure how this relates to Randy Moss.
I'm not talking about his training regimen. There is no doubt that he trained his butt off, otherwise he wouldnt be out there running 4.2s and outjumping everyone in the NFL.
Work ethic is not just about that, but also about being diligent, reliable, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. His being a pussy about going over the middle is pretty damn pathetic, when guys half his size do it without fear (Wes Welker, Steve Smith, Hines Ward to name a few). Dude was also lazy as at blocking, took plays off on a consistent basis, and would quit on his team when things went bad. Sounds like bad work ethic tbh.
Obviously his longevity didn't win him . Maybe if he had some balls to take some hits, took a few less plays off (nearly everyone in the league takes plays off from time to time, but not to the extent that Moss would), and was willing to do seemingly small yet extremely important things like blocking, the Vikings would have a ring or two. Or maybe the Patriots. Not saying its his fault that those teams didn't win a ring, but considering how close both teams were to winning championships with him, one cant help but wonder if he did those things, could they have made a difference?
fwiw, i think its still debatable that Moss can be considered the best wide receiver the game has ever seen. Rice may be the most accomplished, and has a greater place in history, but if I'm building a team of all-time players at their best, Moss is the first receiver I take, without question. Maybe even the first player, period. The only others I would consider is Peyton or Bo Jackson. There is no questioning the absolutely ridiculous threat of scoring that Moss brings.
so moss blocking a little harder on the outside would have prevented matt light from getting curbstomped by osi umenyiora?
moss going easy on one play would have stopped justin tuck from playing the game of his life.
Hey look, the Apollo 11 Mission was faked according to this source:
No, but maybe being more willing to go over the middle would have made it a lot easier for the Patriots to put up points against a Giants secondary that was clearly playing all game for the deep pass (no one wants to hear the speculative story that the OC was the only reason they lost that superbowl, refused to allow anyone to go over the midde... told Brady and Moss to shut the upblah blah blah)
Or would have helped Minny avoided a complete meltdown against an infinitely inferior team in Atlanta, and get to a Superbowl. Or maybe have made the playoffs a couple more times during his tenure in Minny, period, considering several times they had very talented teams that underachieved massively.
you said quitter = bad work ethic
Duncan quit (on his country no less), by your logic that means Duncan has a bad work ethic
your complete lack of argument against the fact that Moss had massive holes in his game is evident when you resort to stupid like this. not sure why we all have to suck his . dude was a tremendous player, and arguably the greatest scoring threat ever, however was not flawless. not sure why that is unacceptable to you.![]()
Moss having massive holes in his game doesn't mean he has a bad work ethic. By that logic every receiver not named Jerry Rice has a bad work ethic.
"I'm talking about his work ethic only in areas where it helps my argument!"
Figures, mono #2 will chip in. Intelligent enough to understand the point, but being ignorant for the sake of being ignorant, and bringing nothing of substance to the table![]()
Seems like a reasonable comparison. Apollo 11 being a hoax and Randy Moss dogging it on the field. Not a ludicrous comparison in any way.
great counter argument.
I love how you implied T.O. had more than twice the work ethic of Moss. If T.O. really had a great work ethic, he wouldn't have been so bad at holding onto the ball.
This from the guy who completely ignores Moss dogging it all over the field for a huge portion of his career.
