So you don't have any proof Brady was pissed about Moss's effort and got him traded. Just checking.
bull aside, there is a difference between having a hole in your game because you simply arent gifted or good enough, as opposed to being lazy. dude was big and strong enough. taking shots and delivering blocks should not have been a problem. and its not a matter of him being ty at those aspects. if he at least gave effort and tried to throw some good blocks, or would consistently attempt to go over the middle, its a different story. but there is a number of times he would just stand around and not even attempt to pick up a blocking assignment, a number of times he could have blown past a defender for a TD but didnt because he was lazy, or could have found holes in a zone over the middle but didnt because he was a pussy. completely different, as opposed to trying, but sucking at those things.
So you don't have any proof Brady was pissed about Moss's effort and got him traded. Just checking.
this is a tough one imho
are we just going by talents and not off the field issues? are we talking for a season or if we need them for one game only?
TO was never half has talented as Moss either. He made his way through the NFL by busting his ass to be in better shape than anyone in the NFL, and playing his ass off in games, doing whatever he needed to do to help the team win.
Again, being a pussy and being lazy are two completely different things. I'm pretty sure if Moss had the work ethic to go HAM training in in humid ass Florida over the summer, him not blocking or being more physical after that catch wasn't a being lazy issue, it was a being a pussy issue.
I'm not denying the fact Moss was a narcissistic pussy who coulda been a lot better than he was, but he worked as hard as he could at what he felt he needed to work hard at. IMO, being lazy is knowing you need to work harder at something but not caring enough to do so. In Moss's mind, he didn't need to work harder at blocking and going over the middle. He worked his hardest to be the player he wanted to be.

Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb, and Tony Romo all think this statement is in re ed.
i agree with you with the fact that TO was a more complete player and showed much more effort consistently than Moss did but let's not act like TO wasn't talented.
The guy was a physical specimen at the WR position
so working hard in only one aspect of the game, means you have a great work ethic?
kinda like shaq, who obviously worked hard to be the biggest, strongest mother er around, but had he actually gave a about free throws, he probably would have a few more MVPs and a couple more rings.
obviously mosses mind was incredibly flawed. so if it makes you feel better, fine; he had a tremendous, but flawed work ethic.
Idk what was funnier, stretch acting like T.O. wasn't extremely talent, or stretch saying T.O. did "whatever he could to help his team win."
Oh this is trolling. Nice.
Both he and Moss can be quitters its not some mutually exclusive club. One has nothing to do with the other. I still didn't see those Olympics so I wouldn't know. Maybe he did quit. I don't know. If he did it still doesn't get Moss off the hook.
This has to be trolling. Too stupid to be anything else. Bad hands is not laziness.
talented sure, but not nearly as talented as moss.
i dont consider being in freakishly great shape to be a talent, but maybe thats just me.
When you're a narcissist who honestly feels only need to work hard at that aspect, yes.
When you're someone like Matt Leinart who knows you need to change your release and spend more time in the film room but simply don't give enough of a to do so, then you have a bad work ethic.
I don't think any single of them to this day, or ever, would question his play on the field.
How he handled business off the field is a completely different story, something that I don't disagree with you at all about.
There are drills you can do to improve your hand eye coordination and improve your catching ability.
If T.O. had what you define as a good work ethic, he woulda been busting his ass doing those drills for hours a day over the off season.
IDK whats funnier... DoK still trying to do his best mono impression, or saying that Moss working SOLELY on being able to run fast and nothing else because he didnt care to improve other aspects of his game means he had a great work ethic.
wut?
every receiver in the NFL is in freakishly great shape. TO was the strongest most physical receiver in the NFL in his prime. On top of that he was as fast and as quick as most of the receivers out there. That's what I mean when I say he had a lot of talent. Sure Moss was faster but he had nothing on TO's strength to get off jam coverage
And I do.
Lets also not forget, if we're gonna call Moss a pussy for not going over the middle, sans one catch early on in his career, T.O. has been notorious for disappearing in the 4th quarter of big games, going over the middle less and less, and almost acting like he didn't want the ball.
im not disagreeing with any of this, but are you honestly saying TO had natural talent on par with Moss? come on now... very few, if ANY receivers have ever had anything close to the natural talent and gifts Moss had.
I'm not doing a mono impression, sorry you're brain is small and incapable of thinking on the level my brain or mono's brain thinks on.
He didn't have Moss's natural talent (neither did any other receiver), but he's easily one of the top 5 most talented receivers of all time. I can't think of a receiver not named Randy Moss more talented than T.O.
No but I'm saying he was still more talented than most receivers out there. No body in the NFL could match his strength and physicality at the position
Thats concentration not work ethic. Besides TO might have done just that. You can practice something a million times and still be mediocre at it. There are tons of athletes that never got good at a certain skill/aspect no matter how hard they tried.
on the other hand, there was Moss, dropping a WIDE OPEN TD pass against the falcons in 98. of course, that had nothing to do with them losing a game where they had a 10 point lead in the 4th against a team that had no business beating them... exactly how many incredibly amazing late game heroics has Moss had in his career?
He had a go-ahead TD in a superbowl
TO was the best player in a superbowl, despite playing with a broken leg
