What, now he's going to grow 6" and play center?
he needs 4th quarter balls, not a post game
Kobe
Dwight
Lebrron
They all work out with Hakeem
LOL Jordan
unless he injects Hakeems DNA into his gutless body I don't see much of a change
Is he gonna change his name to Black Mamba too?
This.
Aside from that, a couple of weeks of working out with The Dream isn't going to do for him. If he really wanted to work on this he would have BEEN working out with Hakeem.
I hate how y and arrogant the guy is to think Yeah, I'm going to put in a week or two of work the Hakeem and the I'll have a complete game. That would take months if not years.
I know all Lebron knows is basketball but to play all this time and never have a post game and then to expect to learn how to play on the block just because he spent some time with H.O...
The difference between Lebron and Kobe is that Kobe puts basketball before everything else. I believe that he could spend two days with Hakeem and get that down because he is such a student and wants to become the absolute best. With Lebron, he relies to much on his natural ability and has been told all his basketball playing life that he is the best. I think it's all a stunt to win back some fans and have them believe that he is trying to improve his game.
Come the start of the season though he will still be the same old Lebron. Bank on that.
LeBron a b!tch that locksup in pressure situations. Nothing will ever change that.
I honestly don't think its a matter of not having balls in the clutch, as there have been many times in the past where Lebron showed massive balls and delivered in the clutch.
The problem is that the primary skillset he has (bulling his way through the lane for a layup/dunk) is not built for the clutch. His lack of finesse moves makes it much easier to gameplan for him and to affect his play using good team defense. Generally if you want to be able to deliver consistently in the clutch, you either need to have a post game, or a consistently reliable jumpshot. Usually both.
He rarely uses his post game to his advantage, and his jumper is just so streaky, that his clutch performances tend to be streaky as well. After the ECF against the Bulls, he looked like one of, if not the most clutch player in the NBA. Then after the Finals, he looked like the biggest choker in the NBA. The difference? His lack of consistency in his jumper, obviously due to his poor shooting fundamentals.
Why do people think this? I missed the part where he said anything like this.
It's getting hilarious how people just fabricate up about Lebron. The hate is just ridiculous and stupid.
Yeah, he should have started putting work in on this sooner, and I'm sure thats a regret he has, but just because he is starting late, doesnt mean that he is expecting it to suddenly be an amazing skill of his after a couple weeks. I think it's better that he admits he needs help on it now, and is looking for help, as opposed to being so confident to the point that he doesnt work on it at all.
This.
Still, he didn't look as if he wanted any part of the ball in the Finals.
Wonder what Hakeem's thinking in this pic

"Dees beech... no reeeng... pfff"
Yeah, only took Hakeem over a decade and no Jordan.
disgusting
IronMexican, with the ball in his arm, calling timeout with no timeouts remaining.
Bingo. If Jordan doesnt leave for a couple years to play baseball Hakeem might only have 1 ring, and maybe not even that....
Doesn't matter...MJ recognizes Hakeem's greatness... in a Cigar Afficianado magazine in the early 2000's MJ named his all-time team:
Michael Jordan - shooting guard
Magic Johnson - point guard
Scottie Pippen - Small Forward
Larry Bird - Power Forward
Hakeem Olajuwon - Center
He picked Hakeem over Shaq, Ewing, and others. His reason was that Hakeem had more dimensions to his game especially on the defensive end. He notes that not many people know, but Hakeem is Top 10 in steals all time, and from a TEAM standpoint he would choose Hakeem.
Working out with Hakeem seems to be the new fad now. What gives?
LeBron makes trips to Houston to specifically work with arguably the best post player ever and everybody hates on him. Never change, ST.
Rockets don't tank for Hakeem, you might not have Duncan. See what I did there? Hypotheticals are a cool story bruh![]()
