Idk why no one has mentioned this yet, why didn't Jeebus help a man of such good faith get better grades?
Perry's mediocre grades in animal science probably won't be an issue for anyone except the people who already hate him.

If you think GPA matters so much politically, you're the one who needs help.
It matters so much intelligence wise. I don't want a moron as president.
When was the last time you based your vote on someone's GPA?
I wouldn't say it so loud then. That tack backfired with the last "moron from Texas" who ran.It matters so much intelligence wise. I don't want a moron as president.
In 2008 I certainly thought of it as a negative that McCain graduated 5th from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy, in spite of the fact his dad and grandpa were in admirals
family up
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if McCain was 5th from the top of his class it wouldn't have changed your vote.
No it wouldn't have, because he had a dumb running mate who flunked outa 3 colleges and needed 6 years to get a degree in sports journalism
fortune 500 companies probably don't have such prejudice. His degree would most likely be looked at in an objective manner.
it's sad that Texas likes the hair and dismisses the lack of education.
I honestly believe his lack of education has kept Texas from moving forward in a number of important areas of life.
Pretty sure a more qualified running mate wouldn't have made much of a difference to you either.
It's been catalogued Mcain lost the election as soon as Palin opened her mouth on national TV
imo, the GPA would be irrelevant if the degree is in something meaningful, or if he had a master's.....but his degree is in animal science it is all the formal education that he's got.
....and frankly a "C" in P.E. (even in the rough academic times of 1970) says something about Perry to me.
Exactly. People cared that Palin looked and sounded like a loon, people cared that McCain had the same letter "R" after his name that W had after his, and people cared that McCain was a crusty old white guy. No one cared about anyone's grades though.
thank god that the uneducated buffoon Palin was never put in a position of being a heartbeat away of leading our country.
What it says to me is that "sleazeball politician" is the only career he's suited for.
Agreed.
Oh I think Perry would fare quite well in Sales. Then again, that pretty much is the profession of politicians.
Good point.
Lets not act like McCain's political party, age, or running mate were the only factors. He was a terrible candidate who said re ed things like, "The fundamentals of the economy are still strong" when the entire country was going bankrupt.
You exaggerate. The Panic of 2008 wasn't anything trillions of dollars couldn't fix. Expect candidates from both parties to have their own version of the re ed comment you highlighted.
TBH I think statements are like grades. People will either get fired up over them or dismiss them depending on their predetermined opinion of the candidate. That predetermination being based on party affiliation and physical appearance.
I can't recall anything that Obama said that was as bad as that statement by McCain. I don't think he ever had much of a chance due to the political climate but that statement erased what little chance he did have.
Just so you know, Joe Biden ranked 506th of 688 in his class.
That speech about the AAA rating while the stock market was plummeting was pretty close.
