Duncan's skills dint transcend the game like th big men before him. Ask the average basketball fan who tim duncan is, and they'll say "the garbageman?"
Kobe = 5 Ring

I just talked to my sister who lives in Hayward, CA. She has in fact heard of Tim Duncan.
Lee, being totally respectful:::is your sister in Hayward a girl, or, a woman?
Kind of like how your spelling didn't transcend grade school?
You could even say I'm a Tim Duncan fan, outside of his frequent "Who, me?" face.
GD you.
The NBA made Duncan, tbh. Who in their right mind saw skinny Timmy D when he was at Wake Forest and predicted future NBA supers om? That's right nobody. He has been protected by the refs his whole career. Had he played in the '80s, he's Brad MF'n Daughtery.
OTOH, Kobe received so much hype in HS that he became the first guard in NBA history to skip college altogether and go straight to the pros (hype was quickly justified BTW) If Philly was smart, he would have gone #1 overall. BTW, where are the people who was drafted before him? Only one still relevant is Ray Allen.

There is more than a grain of truth there. A lot more.
Bully, Lkr. Bully for you.
Pretty much everybody.
I'm guessing you hadn't been born yet.
Please. Chumper, you trippin'![]()
No, pretty much everyone who knew anything about basketball.
You're pretty stupid.
61,000 posts suggests you must be looking in the mirror.![]()
I never said anything as stupid as no one thought Duncan would be a good NBA player when he was at Wake Forest.
Real talk.![]()
I said no one saw NBA supers om, not whether he would be a good NBA player or not - big difference. Be honest with yourself for once: you didn't think Jim would be in consideration for GOAT PF when he came out of WF. If you did you're either Mr. Cleo, or you're lying. Which is it?![]()
Quite a few saw the former.
I'll let you ask someone what "the former" means.![]()
FIFY. No need to thank me.![]()
