There are a few hurdles. Texas supposedly would have to surrender its third-party rights (re: archival, historic properties). But if Texas shows interest, that's nothing more that details.

The Legislature can't officially do anything to keep TAMU in the big12 seeing that their session is out until 2013. The only way to officially do that would be the Governor call a "Special session" to address the issue. Thing about that is the Governor happens to be an Aggie and a former yell leader and is about to run for president. That doesn't keep the Legislature from making threats to A&M if they disagree with the move though.

I got tons of respect for A&M if it gets the final stamp. It's time to dump those es, and then get out from under the Longhorns toilet brush holder and bring this very well recruited and overall talented football team into the premier conference in the nation.

However I hope A&M realizes it will be no cake walk.
