And that's where I take my leave...my head is going to explode if I have to continue explaining this to a complete imbecile...peace.
you're basing everything on offense. Throw defense in there and see who's better. Come playoff time, ask anybody what they'd rather have, a high scoring team or a better defensive team. Ask Pop...or better yet..ask Mike D'Antoni. Duncan is miles better than Kobe on defense. Kobe was better in the playoffs? Since it's a numbers game, who has more Finals MVP's?
And that's where I take my leave...my head is going to explode if I have to continue explaining this to a complete imbecile...peace.
seeing how the 04 pistons dismantled the lakers, only a moron would choose offen....nevermind
i understand
but what im saying, is that even when kobe was a second option, he was better than duncan in most of his le runs (2001 and 2002 for kobe, not 2000)
the only playoff run that Duncan had thats better than kobes in 01 (and thats just him as a 2nd option) is 2003
i know its not all about stats, but 29/7/6 for the run, 32/7/6 in the western conf playoffs, thats pretty impressive
i dont know what else to put then stats, just stating an opinion doesnt really say anything
lakers dismantled your spurs in 2001
swept them
and here was the score of the last 2 games
111-72
111-82
so only a moron would choose otherwise right
kobes good at defense too, duncans is better tho, but kobe is miles ahead on offense
finals mvps, duncan has more, thats why its close, the MVPs is what duncan has on kobe
just so you know i really have nothing against you and take back anything bad i have said towards you but when you constantly use stats as your only argument, its really hard to take u seriously. larry bird dominated without incredable stats. yes stats do say alot about a player but is only half of our argument. there are the intangibles that duncan brings that kobes doesnt. like setting screens, help defense, boxing out, drawing constant double teams, etc. what i mean by kobe being overrated is how espn, the nba, & the rest of the media has blown him up to being a god. like i said he is on the top 10 list but at #10. dont see how you can put a scorer any lower on the list. everyone else on the list are much more complete players.
lmao at Duncan in the top 10 ... such low standards
Miles ahead in offense? Duncan was double teamed and still scored almost as much as Kobe in your stats you showed me. And while rules have made it where you can't even touch a guard who has the ball without calling a foul, Duncan was guarded by guys pushing him around in the paint. To say Kobe is "miles" ahead on offense is disgraceful. And saying that Duncan's Finals MVPs are what bring him "close" to Kobe is even funnier. Would you like to throw All Star Game MVPs in there also?
wow what took you so long? thought you would be hear much quicker to imput your opinion on duncan.

HA! knew it. you do get your info from wikipedia. you do know that all those all defense & all nba teams dont matter seeing how the media selects the teams.
you take away all of that from both players and kobe still only has 1 more team achievment while duncan still leads in individual achievments. which puts duncan>kobe when comparing the 2 players. thanks for posting this.![]()
Duncan was never a scoring champion. BOOM!!!
Neither was Magic Johnson or Larry Bird.
Allen Iverson has more scoring les than Kobe. TMac has as many as Kobe, Durant as well.
but do they have 5 championships? (except magic)
