because they are not george hill
hill only gets the love of sa
This irks me to no end. I'd love to recreate Hakeem vs. David(or maybe not, I don't know). What about Gervin too? Yet they really wanted Barkley? Please, DRob with two rings, an MVP, and scoring champion? Gervin spans two leagues and is emulated to this day. Yet they wanted Barkley more? Just so he could "play" alongside Dr. J and be a super team that never was? Please. Come on now.
Is anyone else here a little miffed at this? Or is this just typical and I should expect this? I know, not much going on in the NBA news world so I had to bring this up. Later.

yes sir !!! Spurs '98 team in on the classic teams roster (Avery Johnson, Vinnie, S. Elliott, T. Duncan & D. Robinson). It's on
drob is included in the 98 spurs -
The Legend: Karl Malone
The Game: The 1997-98 Jazz vs. The 1997-98 Spurs
2K Sports
The Mailman delivers.
Why he's in the game: "Karl Malone is one of the greatest power forwards of all time," Boenisch said. "He was big, he was strong, he was incredibly durable, and he's easily the best pick-and-roll power forward of all time. We couldn't put this list out without including Karl Malone." The matchup pits Malone against Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the Spurs in what's really a changing-of-the-guard game.
2003 Spurs too, right?
1998 spurs are in there thats good enough
D Rob gets schooled in the 2k12 classics trailer.
They aren't crazy about the Spurs
As Kotaku.com notes, Barkley and other top-50 players like Elgin Baylor, Shaquille O'Neal, Pete Maravich, Clyde Drexler, David Robinson, Earl Monroe and Walt Frazier will be available as players on the opposing teams facing off against the legends in a series of "NBA's Greatest" rivalry games. Barkley will appear as a member of Dr. J's 76ers and a young O'Neal will be on the 1994-1995 Orlando Magic. Here's the full list of match-ups.

2K Sports attempted to include basketball great Charles Barkley in NBA 2K12's "NBA's Greatest" mode, showcasing dozens of superstars spanning the game's history, but the two sides were unable to reach an agreement bringing the hall-of-famer to the video game. He will not appear in NBA 2K12.
It's a great idea, but they should have had the legends matched up against their rivals. And Pippen and Stockton being "legends", when Robinson isn't, is ridiculous. Robinson was a top tier player from the 90s (Jordan, Olajuwon, Malone, Barkley, O'Neal), Pippen and Stockton were second tier (Ewing, Payton, Kemp, Drexler, Miller, Mourning, Hill).
A young Timmy, David and George Gervin all appear in 2K12. Gervin is on one of the bonus teams, 1986 Chicago Bulls from 2K11, so people will be able to play with all three legendary Spurs. I doubt that Gervin or Robinson will get much signature style love, but I could possibly be wrong. Can't wait to pit Avery/Vinny/Sean/Tim/David vs. Tony/Manu/Richard (sadly)/Tiago/Tim in 2K12.
i guess there's a little bit of hate there, but i think your assessment is a little off. I think scottie and stockton are up there with the rest of the guys. I think I'd put robinson ahead of them, but pippen was prototype lebron james and stockton is the all-time leader in steals and assists. to say they're on a tier with kemp, miller, mourning, hill ... doesn't seem quite right.
You do know that the latter will get creamed in any platform, real or virtual, right?
No hate, I'm a fan of both Pippen and Stockton. Stockton, in particular, is one of the most underrated players of all time. But the difference between the first tier and the second tier is, the first tier guys could carry an offense. Pippen and Stockton, for all they brought, couldn't do that. That's why the first tier were perennial MVP contenders and the second tier wasn't. I'd put Pippen and Stockton, along with Ewing, at the front of the second tier though.
+1
what a classless video game to leave two classy players off
...
-Leave 97/98 Duncan and Robinson on the team
-Trade Avery and Vinny for Manu and Tony
-Either keep Elliott on the team or create an identical Bruce Bowen
WE. STACKED.![]()
Robinson is a ing pussy. He sacrificed a chance at a championship just because he wanted to stick his bible banging up Rodman. Rodman wouldn't take his soft can't win without Duncan bull .
![]()
tbh if i was a video game creator id be a little weary of putting somebody in the game who was notorious for chasing his teammates with a bible to no end
That is one of the most ignorant things I have ever seen someone say. This is supposed to be about NBA greats and all that . Please do us all a favor and think before you type garbage.
ST is ting right now cause of the lockout, I get it, but DAMN.
So you agree that "classy" d rob was too ing selfish and cost the team a shot at a le because he was chasing his teammates around with a bible especially Rodman?
d rob and selfish is as dallas and great fans
