    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_

Operation was a 1954 operation by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to remove illegal immigrants, mostly Mexican nationals from the southwestern United States.[1]
    Contents [hide]

Burgeoning numbers of Mexican migrants prompted President Dwight D. Eisenhower to appoint General Joseph Swing as INS Commissioner. According to Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr., Eisenhower had a sense of urgency about illegal immigration upon taking office. In a letter to Senator J. William Fulbright, Eisenhower quoted a report in The New York Times that said, "The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexican ' s' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government."[2]
    [edit]Operation in action

The effort began in California and Arizona in 1954 and coordinated 1075 Border Patrol agents, along with state and local police agencies. Tactics employed included going house to house in Mexican-American neighborhoods and citizenship checks during standard traffic stops.
Some 750 agents targeted agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions per day. By the end of July, over 50,000 illegal aliens were caught in the two states. An estimated 488,000 illegal aliens are believed to have left voluntarily, for fear of being apprehended. By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and the INS estimated that 500,000 to 700,000 had left Texas of their own accord. To discourage illicit re-entry, buses and trains took many deportees deep within Mexican territory before releasing them.
Tens of thousands more were deported by two chartered ships: the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried them from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles to the south. Some were taken as far as 1000 miles. Deportation by sea was ended after seven deportees jumped overboard from the Mercurio and drowned, provoking a mutiny that led to a public outcry in Mexico.[1]

yeah people will do the jobs...if only the employer wasnt already paying some illegal a fraction of minimum wage. I would suggest making that practice a felony and possibly even treason.

Im deemed "a person who wouldnt do those jobs" even though I have done tons of those jobs...

"plenty of people would do those jobs"

    Do you have any evidence?

btw, $Bs are stolen from illegal aliens in long-delayed, by employers with underpaid, non-paid wages, and of course stolen from the govt by the employers not paying payroll taxes.

Illegals make a huge contribution to the economy, like keeping labor-intensive production lik food (and McMansions) a lot cheaper than if living wages were fully paid.

Illegals didn't cause the Banksters' Great Depression.

UCA's NAFTA caused millions of illegals to lose their ty jobs in MX and flee to USA.

Where is your evidence that people wouldn't?

I have worked many of jobs that illegals are chosen for; car-washing , dish washing, cook, janitorial work, manual labor.

However, my friend, they do seem to have a firm grasp on jobs you and I don't want; ie, smuggling/manufacturing/selling drugs, operating sex slavery rings, robbing banks, shoplifting....etc etc etc...

However, dear asshole, give us some hard stats on how many of the 11M illegals are criminals, compared to the stats of Human-Americans who are criminals.

No need for stats on Corporate-Americans, since they are above the law, but hurt and destroy more of USA than all the illegals.

It's amazing how unemployed white people blame illegals for not having a job, not the corporations that have shipped millions of manufacturing jobs overseas because of Republican deregulation.

    This.

In the 70's and 80's, black people cleaned houses, mowed yards, did roofiing, worked on road crews. It was the norm for a black father and his sons to do yards all day.
I can't remember the last time I saw a black maid, lawnguy, roofer, or one working on a road crew. Maybe they have all become surgeons or something.
In any event, I see Mexicans all over the place busting thier asses to support their families. And do that other lazies (black and white) don't.

While I think illegal immigration is a problem that's massively blown out of proportion and isn't even close to being one of America's biggest problems, it's a in myth that s are hard workers. They're the most lazy breed of human out there.

No doubt there are some lazy Mexicans. But empirical evidence tells me they are doing jobs that Whites and blacks won't.

And they do those jobs in a lazy manner. The one job I ever had where I worked with a bunch of Mexicans was me doing a whole bunch of work while the 3-4 Mexicans I was working with would stand in the back and talk about how much tequila they were gonna drink after work.

I don't know what job you were doing but it sounds like bad managment if they let that go on. From what I see, they are taking a bunch of jobs and I have to assume they are doing the jobs well enough to keep them. We won't let any of the white teenagers around do our lawn because they don't give a and do it half-assed. But the Mexican guys do it and do it right.

brah pay high school and college freshman 9 bucks an hour for after school help, and 12 bucks to some full time workers instead of paying illegals 7.50 and they'd do it.
But they aren't doing it. The $7.50 illegals are gone, and the crops are rotting and unemployment is at 10%.

BTW, you can find some numbers here: link

We found that crop workers make about $9.18 an hour. Vegetable and melon workers were near $7.78. Blueberry workers made about $6.70 an hour. The soybean rate is $16.65, but that is for workers operating complex farm machinery, a relatively small number of workers.

We looked at spring and summer wages for the Southeast, which includes Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Field workers made $8.86 per hour during the week of April 11 through 17, 2010. They made $9.12 an hour July 11 through 17, 2010.
