Pau was the game changer. Everyone who's ever dribbled a ball knows that, even Stevie.

LOL using the "we had a bad team" excuse, but you had a ty team outside of Pau/Kobe otherwise, at least according to you, because your 6th man of the year was a scrub, and let's be honest, Pau's solid play and proficiency, and play by people like Ariza and Odom got the Lakers there. Kobe just shot the out of the ball and did his normal 33 percent, give me the MVP thing.

33%? when did that happen outside of game 7 the past two les?

Odom is no scrub who said that?

We lost a 3-1 lead that is on Kobe and Phil not the scrubs ... they are the stars ...but we both know the suns were better. those Suns teams were a screw job away from beating yall tbh ...

no son the truth is ...

Duncan: 1.5 (99 doesn't count to anyone outside of S.A., 05 he received .5 credit for co-leading with Parker, and 07 was Parker and Manu's team)

Kobe: 1 (.5 credit for being co-leader twice with Gasol / zero credit for riding Shaq)
God Bless you and your family, son.

LOL Duncan 2nd best to Jordan ....
maybe for the 1999 season ...maybe, maybe you could also argue 2003-2005 but every other year since MJ ...Shaq, Kobe, Lebron, dirk and others have all clearly been better.

shaq had a better peak, Kobe has been conisistently great for a longer period ...same for Dirk. Lebron obviously has the talent to pass them all. But there is only a short window where any reasonable basketball fan can argue that Duncan was the best.
The only person you could argue is Shaq, nobody else even belongs in the conversation with Duncan.

Karl Malone is the greatest in knockin up 14 year old girls, being a deadbeat dad despite being a multimillionaire, and sexually harassing his teammate's wife/owner.

Other than those, he is the greatest in nothing.

2003 was truly the only year that Duncan put the Spurs on his back and led them. the other two championships he was never the clear cut star and had ridiculous amounts of help around him
Still better than any Hornets player.

Thats all due to Merlin playing on a stacked team for his, whole career. His play was average.
6-24 has been surrounded by better talent for the majority of his career, yet his stats aren't as impressive as Merlin's.

Plus the rigged reffing that 6-24 gets. Would he have one legit le without it?

I almost forgot this BR schtick, you know how FTs don't count? Guess who had the most FTs in the history of the league? That's right, take that 9787 points away from that ugly pedophile's game and what do you have? About 27,000 points despite playing 20 years with a majority of those shots being set up by the best pick and roll PG in the history of the league.

Not to mention those 27,000 points were scored because:
    1) Defenders were worried that they will be called a foul if they were within 15 feet of that pervert.
    2) Defenders were worried their wives will be sexually harassed by that 6'9" Michael Jackson if they actually defended him
    3) Defenders were worried about having their ribs cracked open, get a concussion, or require 15 s ches and still be called a foul if they got in the way.

In reality, that s bag scored about 12,000 legit points in his career, which puts him out of the ranking.

And all those all-NBA teams? When Malone was making 1st team, guess who were making 2nd teams?

Tom Chambers, Chris Mullin, a Larry Bird with a severe hernia, a 95 year old Nique, a struggling Barkley on a crappy 6ers team, a Pippen who hasn't even came into his own, Larry Johnson, a young Kemp, rookie Grant Hill, Glen Rice, Vin Baker, young Webber.

In other words, he just happened to hit his prime when the compe ion is weak.

As for those MVPs, everybody and their cousins knew that Jordan should have won those awards, it's voters fatigue, and it is known that those who voted for Malone all have daughters who were between 8 and 16, they were scared for their daughters "honour".

i do have to agree with him tho. duncan did play on stacked teams. its just not fair that kobe never played alongside nba greats like matt bonner,Richard Jefferson, ian mahinmi......

kobe got stuck having to play along side the most dominate post player in history, a 4 time allstar & one of the best PF in the game today in Gasol, one of the best upcoming centers in the game today in bynum, & the current 6th man of the year in odom, & was coached by one of the most succesful coaches in sports history.

lets see ownership. kobe again got stuck playing on a team with an ownership thats willing to pay over 100mil to get swept by the mavs.
he never got to play for an organization like that spurs that rarley goes into the luxury tax.

the facts are their kobe never got the same opportunities. dont know why
we keep making these arguments. clearly kobe>Duncan

did i go overboard with the sarcasm?

LOL sons give me a ing break. I always knew that Duncan's stats were absolutely nowhere near the top, but I had no idea just how low they truly were until actually looking up the facts. The guy isn't even a top 30 all time scorer or not even a top 20 rebounder, yet some of you still believe that he is the greatest power forward of all time? ... seriously?

I mean really just what the is going on here sons? are some of you too homerish or just too damn ignorant to admit the truth about Duncan? the dude was a badass player from about 1998 until 2007ish, and nothing more and nothing less. Hall of famer? of course (considering they allow just about anyone in there now days) ... but greatest of all time? LMAO!!! Tim Duncan was never a standout player who made you say "wow that guy is good!". he was just the boring 6'11, goofy looking guy who could hit a bank shot and was just blessed to play on defensively stacked teams his entire career with hall of fame coaching, and solid scorers all around him.

I can think of at least 10-12 big men who had more impact on the game than Duncan ever did. all of which had better numbers than him as well.

    Kareem Abdul Jabbar: Total Points - 38,387 - 24.6 PPG 11.2 RPG

    Karl Malone: Total Points - 36,928 - 25.0 PPG 10.1 RPG

    Wilt Chamberlain: Total Points - 31,419 - 30.1 PPG 22.9 RPG

    Moses Malone: Total Points - 29,580 - 20.3 PPG 12.3 RPG

    Shaq: Total Points - 28,596 - 23.7 PPG 10.9 RPG

    Elvin Hayes: Total Points - 27,313 - 21.0 PPG 12.5 RPG

    Hakeem: Total Points- 26,946 - 21.8 PPG 11.1 RPG

    Charles Barkley: Total Points - 23,757 - 22.1 PPG 11.7 RPB

    Dirk: Total Points - 22,792 - 23.0 PPG 8.4 RPG

    Bill Russell: Total Points - 14,522 - 15.1 PPG 22.5 RPG
Duncan ranks very high in the most important statistics of all: wins and championships. If you think winning is boring, go follow baseball. That's a sport where winning has continuously declined in value, while loads of rather meaningless statistics are used to elevate average schmucks like Felix Hernandez and Zack Greinke.
