Excited to see if Chandler can handle LB duties. Would strengthen our squad during WCQ if capable since Dolo was consistently still our best man during Gold Cup

Castillo doesn't even make the bench! Here are our subs:
#USMNT subs: Hamid, Orozco Fiscal, Beckerman, Larentowicz, Kljestan, Spector, Agudelo
Twitter bringing the lulz:
@FakeKlinsmann: I'm having a contest for everyone to figure out why I keep starting Robbie! Winner gets part of this lifetime supply of bratwurst I just got
Pretty interested to see Chandler at LB. You pretty much at this point. Can't believe Robbie got 3 caps in 3 ing games - especially after the last one.
Brek Shea's got to be running on fumes at this point.
Ream's not even in uniform. Really odd considering I really thought he'd be Jurgen's type of player.
Rogers is the new Bornstein. FML.
I knew Rogers and Klinsi were buddy buddy in Cali but come on
@FakeKlinsmann: Figured I'd try Chandler at LB as a warmup for Fabian. Trying to create a fun position battle of "Half-Germans" vs. "Liga Primera disasters"
Unfortunately all of the growing depth in the MF seems to be in the middle, not the wings. What makes that even worse is that despite Coach Sweats old way of playing Dempsey and Donovan on the wings, I think Jurgen sees they are better in the middle (and actually, they are both better as the "hole" AMF, creating even more difficulty in lineups). We may end up seeing Chandler and/or Spector at RW sooner or later.
Yeah I really don't get how Sasha doesn't get the start over Rogers. If Rogers is unimpressive here and gets another start then you definitely have Rogerstien.
I think Jurgen sees Sasha as a better option in Torres' spot as opposed to the wing. If Bedoya was available, I suspect we'd see him starting in place of Rogerstein.
And, to follow up on that, Jurgen appears to be really big on playing players at the position that maximizes their output (see his comments about not seeing Boca as a LB anymore).
I think, in this instance at least, Robbie getting the start is more about developing Sasha as a central mid than it is about Robbie Rodgers (I think he is just starting because we don't have any other options available today).
Or I could be wrong completely.
Game moved to ESPN2 because NASCAR (WTF?!?!) going long on ESPN.
This makes the third straight game a USMNT game has been pre-empted by ESPN. 1) Little league baseball, which is creepy to me that people watch to start with 2) Tennis 3) NASCAR.
US Soccer on NBC can't get here soon enough.
No ?? When does that start? It's great these big networks are picking games up. TBH Fox needs to start airing more games aside from the CL Final, not just FSN and FSC.
Starts in 2012. NBC will be showing USMNT and some MLS games between their networks.
Unless JK wants a 'natural' winger, Kljestan is clearly better. Donovan needs space to operate...as long as he's on the motive...he has not set position tbh. He played extremely well on the RW at Everton though. We'll see
Belgium looks like the better team.. Howard saving the U.S.
Belgium IS the better team. Shocked they are struggling in their group for Euro qualifying. I think they could make some noise in Brazil.
But Howard, definitely the hero. Rodgers kills the attack every time he gets a touch.
US doing well outside of the attacking third. Chandler's crosses not dangerous at all, but defending well at LB against a dangerous Hazard
Again the service was poor. Altidore couldn't do anything. More energy required.
Not surprised the energy is lacking. These guys looked tired on Friday and that was before flying across the world. Not sure what to take from this game so far.
Oh one thing I can take from this is that Edu should be above Jones in the depth chart.
