To that pussy who said SN pale ale was gross... what a little . SN is consistently one of my favorite brewers. Torpedo? Kellerweis? BIGFOOT?

and Lagunitas is quickly becoming a favorite as well. I've had the ones posted here and they are all pretty good... but the last one I had "a little sumpin wild" was by far my favorite.

My "tasted beers" list from the saucer (this one isn't up to date... it's short about 9 beers). I used to date one of the servers and I was constantly there so I was able to put up pretty good numbers in a short amount of time. Broke up, didn't go back for a couple months then picked back up again. A few of these she added without me buying them but mostly the liquid piss like miller lite and coors light. I'm about 75 away from getting a plate on the wall.

I've tried both of these before. I don't know about the extremely rarity bit but I distinctively remember seeing the chateu jiahu at a couple of places when I was looking for their es brew. Maybe I was just that lucky <shrugs>

1 limited batch in 2 years equates to a rarity in my book. just because they produce little of it doesn't mean that it doesn't make it out to the consumer.

I one up your Punkin with this extreme rarity. It didn't even make it to batch last year according to the show. They had it at the flying saucer the other day and it was probably my favorite brew from them besides Squall. Like a tastier version of Midas Touch, which I didn't think possible.

they had to throw the entire batch out I believe, it was on that beer pioneers show on discovery that InBev Budweiser made them cancel by threatening to remove their ads.

Is Kellerweis just a rebranding of their previous beer that was called Sierra Nevada Wheat? I wasn't a fan at all of that and thus have never picked up the Kellerweis. I'm an enormous fan of their Pale Ale, Torpedo, Stout, Porter, and most of all the Bigfoot Ale though. Also, the Southern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop Ale from Sierra was incredible the time I found it; it reminds me a lot of Dogfish Head's 60 minute IPA.

it got stuck in fermentation, if you are referring to the beer. Budweiser/InBev did threaten to stop advertising on Discover entirely to stop them airing it, though. I only found out when I saw a Bourdain tweet about it a few months ago. Same company produces both shows. It was lame.

Kellerweis is open fermentation, I don't think the old Wheat was.

The Southern Hemisphere is good, I have had it on tap a few times.

I'll have to give Kellerweis a try then, as I really like most SN brews.

Sampled some beer in Fort Collins, CO this past weekend at a brewery named O'dells. For the most part I was meh on it all but the St. Lupulin was pretty damn good.

If I remember correctly I wasn't very impressed when I had these. I've only been there once, though and I do remember enjoying some of their beer I just don't remember that stout being particularly exciting.

I love their Easy Street wheat. At least, I did 5 years ago when I had it last.

Easy Street was OK. I'm a lover of a good wheat beer and while it wasn't bad it was unexceptional for me. Not bad, just not outstanding in any way, IMO.

    Sure is!

If you haven't already, this stuff MIGHT actually be better.
