no .
what kind of 'goodwill' will Baylor be missing out on?
10/15/2011 is going to be a glorious day.
Baylor is so funny to me, over the last 10 to 12 years I have made the drive to waco for an OU baylor game4 or 5 times and everytime the crowd is 90% Sooners
"Texas A&M is a proud member of the Big 12 Conference and will continue to be affiliated with the conference in the future. As Athletics Director Bill Byrne and I have stated on numerous occasions, our hope and desire was for the Big 12 to continue. We are committed to the Big 12 and its success today and into the future.”
-R. Bowen Loftin, Texas A&M President (June 14, 2010)
nothing indicated here that would be deemed as the least be legally binding or indicative of a long term agreement. it is a very carefully worded press release.
I guess the definition of "future" for Loftin is June 2012.
No, they made that decision for the next hundred years, just like this year.
Posted on an LSU board. Nailed it.F*ck the Baylor Carebears!! You are actually proud of your passive aggressive admin? You guys stand idly by as SMU, TCU, Houston and Rice are tossed to the curb (because you have the Governor at the time), and now you piss in everyone's cereal because you did not get an invite to the party. Where was your "Texas loyalty" then? Dude, your school is that creepy girlfriend that gets pregnant when her boyfriend breaks up with her. Try winning more conference games in a decade than you can count on 2 hands and maybe you DESERVE to be in a BCS confernce. Go to the WAC where you belong...until then go crawl back under that rock of yours.
Of course Baylor is trying to do what they can to stay in an AQ conference or at least things up for a little while longer.
No . Why would Baylor work against its own interests?
june 14, 2010 till sept 7, 2011=future
dumb s.
If I can't have your girlfriend(SEC)then know one can.
-Baylor.
---- ing pathetic.
Technically speaking, Sept 7th, 2011 is the future, if it's June 14th, 2010.
exactly.
"As the weekend concluded and we entered into Monday, however, the TV networks stepped up and indicated they would invest significantly in the 10 remaining members of the Big 12. And the Big 12 made a significant financial commitment to keep Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas in the conference. At the end of the day, we kept our word, which as an Aggie, is extremely important." - R. Bowen Loftin - June 16, 2010
Maybe if someone quotes that Loftin statement one more time, it'll finally have the devastating impact ya'll want it to...
So despite A&M wanting out of the conference in June of 2012 they won't be affliliated with the conference. Are they going to be barred from playing conference games, participating in Big 12 post season tournaments. No. They will no longer be affiliated with the conference as of June 2012, thus your Sept 7, 2011 = future is not correct.
sorry, you are right.
so Loftin is still correct when he said the future.......he never said WHEN in the future or how LONG into the future A&M would be in the Big 12.
....anyway why are these schools so pissed at A&M and not suing Colorado or Nebraska? or the PAC 12 and Big 10?
Because we're irrelevant little ole inferiority complex aggy, obviously.
