there is one thing I can guarantee this year... Atlanta will not win the superbowl.
JT, you realize your predictions would give Sanchez 7 road playoff wins in his first 3 years, right? Has anyone ever won that many playoff roadies before?![]()
I don't think any quarterback even has close to seven, come to think of it. Staubach has five. Off the top of my head, that's the most I can think of.
What's funny is I don't even think Sanchez is very good.
For some reason I just don't think Green Bay is going back.
I really should pick Pittsburgh to win it. But I'm a Browns homer and I'm not picking ing Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl, I'm just not.there is one thing I can guarantee this year... Atlanta will not win the superbowl.
He's tied with 4 other QBs (Len Dawson, Staubach, Delhomme, and Flacco) as the QBs with the most road playoff wins in NFL history (which would be 4).

people picking the Chargers to actually make a playoff run
It's like every year they all forget who SD's coach is.
I fall into the Charger trap every year. I never learn.
Picking the Chargers to make a SB run is infinitely smarter than picking the Raiders to make the playoffs--especially after losing one of their top 2 players.
Picking a team to go from 8-8 to a playoff birth is infinitely dumber than picking a team to go from 9-7 to a superbowl birth?

Super Bowl - Giants over Patriots yet again
SB MVP- Eli Manning yet again
MVP - Eli Manning (With Peyton out and Eli showing that desire with the Brady comments, he will win it).
Coach Of The Year - Tom Coughlin
Rookie of the year- Von Miller
In this case, yes. Chargers had a slew of injuries to their WR corps and Vincent Jackson played only 3 or 4 games due to holdout. Gates also missed a chunk of games. Rivers still put up nasty #'s despite that. The special teams gave away 3-4 games--no way in that's happening again, especially with the kickoffs now. They finished tops in O and D too. They have everybody back now.
The Raiders lost Nnamdi on defense and Zach Miller on offense (led his team in receptions I think). Besides, we all know they aren't finishing 6-0 in the division again.
They also lost the defensive coordinator who made their defense greatly over achieve. That defense will be average this year. It's got mediocre talent that is no longer carried by Ron Rivera's great coaching.
You may be right. Tbh I don't really trust any AFC team in the playoffs these days...I just have a hunch the Chargers will get their together. They may or may not make a run, but it's a ing certainty the Raiders are going nowhere.
Like I said, I don't trust any AFC team enough to bet on them to make a SB(I just think SD will do it)...but I'll bet anyone here 5 bills that the Raiders don't make the playoffs. I'll even offer a side bet of $100 that they don't even reach .500.
IF the Chargers actually had a good coach, I could see them as a serious threat. Norv Turner turns into super conservative mode in the postseason. He hasn't changed his ways. The Chargers front office screwed the pooch by hanging onto him.
The AFC this year will come down to the Patriots, Ravens, and Jets. The Steelers are coming off a superbowl loss which means they will be a lot weaker this season. The Colts are done without Peyton.
If Mike McCarthy, Brian Billick, Mike Martz, Bill Callahan, Jim Caldwell, and Tom Coughlin can make a SB as a HC, anyone can.
