    VILNIUS, Lithuania -- The Gasol brothers got the better of Dirk Nowitzki, leaving Germany on the brink of elimination at the European basketball championship.

    Marc Gasol scored 24 points and Pau had 19 -- all in the second half -- to lead defending champion Spain past Germany 77-68 Wednesday in the second-round group stage of the tournament.
    Germany couldn't find an answer for the Gasols, a double threat down low. Spain led most of the way but needed a late 9-3 run to secure the victory. The Gasols scored Spain's last nine points, with seven by Pau Gasol.

    still indulging in other teams success, lakers fan = class

    plus spain got some true bball triggas who're all nba caliber or above dirk on the other hand only got dip s on the german national team, germans just lost a game they were supposed to lose tbh which doesn't have no to do wit NBA

    Congrats. Your NBA team's best player, with an excellent supporting cast around him, beat Dirk and a bunch of scrubs in Eurobasket. But we all saw what happens when Dirk has a decent supporting cast.
