Yes I would do that if I were you.

On paper it is fair, but it doesnt make any sense for him since the downgrade from Wallace to Holmes hurts him more than the upgrade from Eli to Freeman (if it is even an upgrade at all) helps him. When you offer a 2 for 1, it doesn't have a shot at getting accepted unless the other guy is getting two guys who he'd start almost every week. Check back at your draft history, if he took Eli with Freeman still on the board, he has no reason to do the trade.
Well I see your point, but my logic is that with Eli as your number one, you are going to want someone else to at least make a decision with on a weekly basis. IMO only top flight players you don't worry about subbing, but with guys like ELI, you probably should have at least one other person so you can make a decision on a weekly basis. To me, that is the value. He's getting a decent REC in Holmes to replace Wallace, and to make up for that he's getting a guy in Freeman who's just as good (with higher upside if he just repeats what he did last year) as ELI to where he can use him on any given week since ELI isn't a sure thing.

Last question for today, what would should I be willing to give up for a top QB like Romo in addition to Big Ben in a package in your opinion that would improve my team.

Give me an example and also maybe a package for a better QB like Vick. Thanks.

For a semi elite QB like Romo/Schaub, if you can give up Ben + someone who'd sit on your bench more often than not, do. The way I see it, that is an overall upgrade to your starting lineup which means it'll lead to more points every week. Losing a bench player might hurt you during a couple bye weeks but the upgrade at QB is worth it.

For an elite QB like Vick/Rodgers, you would probably have to give up so much it wouldn't be worth it until someone got desperate. From my experience, unless you have an idiot in your league, almost no trades happen involving players taken early before the first few weeks of the season are over and someone starts 0-3 or 1-2 w/ a significant injury.

My friend might be willing to do Freeman/Miles for Vick? That would leave me with Vick/Big Ben/Flacco at QB and only Marshall/Holmes/Garcon at WR though.

I could probably trade Ben for a decent WR though? This is so much more confusing to me than BB because I don't know the players as well.

who was your first round pick? Vick?

Obviously if he goes down, I wouldn't even bother logging back into that league, iiwy.

I think you have the type of team that blows out the other guy one week and doesn't crack 60 the next.

    6.5 out of 10, imo.

I don't know you...but I'll hear any comment. I definately don't think this roster will win the whole league...but a 6.5 out of 10. That's failing. Think I did a lil better than that.

If you think I did bad...you should of seen my friends during the draft. Guy with the 2nd pick picked Ray Rice. Then in the 3rd round he picked the Steelers D. You wanna talk about a 6.5 out of 10......

Are passing, receiving, and rushing td's all worth 6? You're stacked at RB, TE is somewhat decent, but you're hurting at the WR position--especially with Colston out for a month now. Still, depending on how your league scores--you could be in pretty good shape imo

All TD are worth 6 points. No point per reception.

Agreed....STRUGGLING at WR. Colston is gonna be the death of me. Guess I'll be going with Ocho and Dez Bryant.

Which RBs should I feel the most comfortable playing. (pick 3)

I like Mendenhall and Jackson. Steelers historically run the ball, and I think Bradford will take a lil heat off of Jackson this year.
Unsure about the rest. Blount had a good season last year, Benson gets a lot of touches (but its the Bengals), and Reggie Bush is gonna get the most carries on the Dolphins I heard from their coach. (but its the Dolphins)

its not a school grade scale.

    scale of 1-10

    1= pure suck
    5= average
10=the rest of the league is ed

    that's rough

At least you aren't 0-4-1 on your bets today (-$200) going into tonight's game.

The Bills exceeded my wildest expectations today though, so I'm all smiles

First round pick completely wasted with the Jamaal Charles injury.
I was offered Frank Gore for Deion Branch today. Should I take it?

    WR: Branch/Maclin/D.Bryant/Henderson/Ward/Cobb
RB: McFadden/P.Thomas/Moreno/Cadillac (who I picked up after I dropped Charles)

He also has Mike Tolbert who I think he would also get rid of, if a better option than Gore.

Beanie Wells might be productive this year just because he's the workhorse by default and should get 20+ touches a game (assuming he stays healthy which is a big if). He's not too helpful in a PPR league though since he's Cedric Benson pt. 2 when it comes to catching out of the backfield.

I'm a big supporter of St. Louis's offense this year. I think Sims-Walker is gonna kill it, Stephen Jackson will find the endzone more, and Amendola won't light the world on fire but he'll put up solid weekly production.

Not a big fan of LeSean McCoy tho. When healthy Ronnie Brown is the better player and is gonna steal a lot of touches from McCoy.
Was this some inside joke or real ?

Should have posted this in this thread instead of the other league's thread:

DD, did my fantasy draft for my first money league (hate drafting this early), but wanted to see what you think. I am not thrilled with it because I took so many risks, but it at least has solid potential IMO.

    10 team league, QB, RB, RB, W/TE, W/TE, W/TE, W/R/TE, K, DEF, BEN (5)

    Passing TD: 3
    Rushing/Receiving TD: 6
Throwing: 1 point per 20 yards, 3 point bonus for 300+
    Rushing/Receiving: 1 point per 10 yards, 3 point bonus for 300+

    My team:

QB: Philip Rivers, Jay Cutler & Carson Palmer
RB: Matt Forte, Darren McFadden, Ryan Matthews, CJ Spiller & Donald Brown
WR: Miles Austin, Percy Harvin, DeSean Jackson, Denarius Moore & Greg Little
    K: Sebastian Janikowski
    DEF: Buffalo Bills

    Any thoughts besides Blake?

Standard ESPN league. My roster is as follows:

    QB: Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck
WR: Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Marques Colston, Dwayne Bowe, and Michael Crabtree.
RB: Frank Gore, Shonne Green, Michael Bush, Peyton Hillis, LaGarrette Blount, and Beanie Wells.
    TE: Rob Gronkowski
    Defense: Chicago Bears
    Kicker: Dan Bailey

I picked up Bush and Wells through free agency, so Im happy about that. I probably could use another TE, but that'll come later. What is everyone's thoughts on the roster?

@DPG, solid roster. Philip Rivers should have a bounceback season after last years lackluster campaign. Cutler is not a bad choice either. Carson Palmer could be a steal if he develops a good chemistry with his offense. He had flashes of good play last season. You have a great running back core, but Forte may not get as many points due to Bush possibly being a goal line back. In addition, the Matthews injury kind of sucks, but he should be a good back throughout the season. Spiller will be good if Jackson were to go down, and Brown did pretty well with the Colts last season, even with how bad the QB situation was.
Your wide receiver lineup is a bit weak. Miles Austin is always a good pick, but DeSean Jackson is a risk. He and Maclin both would cancel each other out quite a bit fantasy wise last season, so be prepared for some weeks of low stats.

All in all, I'd say you have a good team.
