Fed has been through this before, prior to winning the French Open for the 1st time and prior to getting the record for Grand Slams; IMO I think he has accomplished what he wanted for a career and shows on some of those shots especially when he just tries to slice a return back instead of a full backhand.

Anything else now is just a bonus for him... Sure it still sucks to lose after having 2 match pts, but have those record Grand Slams helps...
That's how he returns a fast serve to the backhand side. It's not easy to swing and control a full one handed backhand on returning.

Nadal already has 10 majors he needs to win some more or he will probably get caught. He's lucky Djokovic is stepping into the mix and is taking down majors now.

I don't think so. He still capable of competing he just can't handle the A game of Nadal or Djokovic.

I'm less of a fan of Fed than the Djoker or Nadal but he had 2 match points for a finals appearance. He simply joked it

I think Murray is going to win this match unless him holding his thigh was a indicator of physical problems to come. Murray is dictating these points right now.

That loss is going to haunt Roger for a while. It's really a pity, because he was brilliant in the first two sets and came back nicely after getting dominated in the fourth. Djokovic's return on Federer's first match point was great, but a little crazy as well.
Overall, it was a great tennis match - most of the time, anyway.

That's it. I'm not betting on Murray winning again 'till he proves that he can.

Federer should have won this tournament. 2 match points on his serve. Both points were garbage. One he just hit a prayer that caught the line, the other he basically framed on a body serve. I can't remember seeing Federer this openly criticize someone for it after a match, either.

    Djokovic is so damn good.

Rafa is just lost. Can't do anything against the complete arsenal that Novak brings to the court. I half expect to see Nadal stomp off the court in tears.

If you're not watching this final you're missing out on some great tennis. I honestly couldn't care less who wins and yet I'm fascinated by this match.

Rafa's definitely stepped up his game these last few points and now Djoker is starting to miss shots he was hitting earlier.

Been a great match. 2 or 3 individual points in this match were honestly some of the best I've ever seen. As much as I want Novak to win, I'd love to see this extended to 4 or 5 sets.
