If the government really gave two s about "self defense" and Al Queda, Saudi Arabia woulda been hit just as hard, if not harder than Afghanistan was after 9/11. The sole fact that it wasn't proves that none of Bush or Obama's military campaigns were the least bit "self-defense" related.

Clinton's last year in office the spending was 301.7 billion and last year it was 698.3 billion.
Yeah, I'm sure a 131% spending increase in the last 10 years is completely justified

9/11 would have been prevented with armed pilots and a locked pit door, we didn't need to spend 700 billion a year to prevent another one. Tbh Europe has been the recipient of a terrorist attack more times than we ever have, and we still spend more than all of Europe combined. Al Qaeda has been doing our bidding ever since we created them to fight the Russians and they still are today.
Id rather be a paranoid citizen than a peaceful care free live and let live type of person. I've experienced first hand what it feels like to live in a country infiltrated by terrorist groups.
USA's legacy is her military force so leave it alone and dont it up. Let China invest on everyday useful things, we can rip it off anytime like what they usually do to the countries anyway.

There hasn't been any denial of the green light to shoot down the plane. This doesn't mean that it was executed. And if they did shoot down the plan, where's the pieces? Did they use the magic evaporator bullets?
Some of these guys either never had or lost their moral compass somewhere along the way. My heartfelt generosity goes out to the victims and their families. One of my ex girlfriends from Trinidad worked in the financial sector of one of the towers...fortunately she didn't work that day and a good friend of mine is still alive.

Bro, the mujahadeen and alqueda aren't the same group. And as far as international conflicts go, alliances switch on the dime.
Yeah 911 could have been prevented with less govt buisiness regulations. Airlines would have armed their planes and locked their doors. Also, they could be able to racially profile. I have no problem with that. it, i'm no cultural relativist.
But, it's illogical to conclude that alqueda doesn't exist. They're fighting wars in other countries, fighting tribes in africa regardless of their imperialism or not.

I don't get all this hatred for the military, i don't consider the military to be a sacred ins ution, but it's downright foolish to want to demolish on function of govt for which govt is morally sanction to have.
Govt is supposed to protect life, liberty and property. Not pass around en lements and create a dependent class.
