If Malcolm gets more carries (at least 20), and the combo of McCoy/Ash doesn’t turn the ball over and manages the game decently to give the defense good rest, this should be a win.
also should be another good test for the run defense, to see if Dorsey and co. is for real. again, the key will be the offense having some sustained drives to keep the defense well rested. UCLA seems to still be a damn good running team. if they can contain the run against them, I think Texas might have the best front 7 in the Big 12, and gives us an awful lot to be excited for in the coming 2 years.
Texas needs to get rid of all the blonde haired "aw shucks" white boy QB's and just find another black to lead them.
I do like David Ash a lot. He could be a lot like Tebow, without all the knobslobbing of his christian activities by the media. Great runner, big, strong, and solid accuracy. Team seems to like him a lot too.
I can't remember the last black quarterback they recruited. Russell Shepard? And they recruited him at wide receiver with a "promise to compete" for quarterback. I'm probably way off on that.

ucla has a better offense than byu, its the defense that is worse. either way, its on the road for a young t.u. squad against a desperate team.
no matter who wins, it should be close. if t.u. loses, their season could spiral down, which would be fairly entertaining... again.
