As weak as the conference would probably be, I'm not sure how the BCS can tell UT that they are no longer part of an AQ conference.
...especially considering ESPN has exclusive BCS broadcasting rights through 2014.
I wouldn't think so, but then I'm not sure how easy (legally) it is for the BCS to just tell a conference "no more AQ for you". I'm sure the other AQ conferences would be looking to strip the big12 of that automatic bid so that there would be an extra at large bid out there for one of their teams to benefit from.

Jesus. I go and take a 3 hour , come back to mass Aggy gotry.
Oh, and lol at someone (Sisk?) posting a Matt Hayes article. That's like posting a John Lopez article and saying, "See? Somebody has something positive to say about Aggy."
Intestinal problems?
You and I both know all the gots are in Austin.
In Sisk's limited defense, Corby was talking about a potential TX move to the ACC on The Ticket yesterday here in Dallas, so Sisk's not the only one giving wherever this rumor came from SOME sense of credibility.
Yes. All the glory holes in College Station agree.
Corby is an extreme OU fan, and I don't recall his having any more credibility than an article by a guy speculating.
I could be wrong though, I listen to the ticket every day pretty much all day during work. I don't recall him having anything of substance to it though.
Found the BCS website. Looks like the BCS uses some goofy formula (shocking, I know) to determine which conferences get to be AQ.
So, it looks like there isn't a human decision involved and the big 12's AQ status would depend on more than just Texas. The evaluation data include the following for each conference (1) the ranking of the highest-ranked team in the final BCS Standings each year, (2) the final regular-season rankings of all conference teams in the computer rankings used by the BCS each year, and (3) the number of teams in the top 25 of the final BCS Standings each year.
True. He's a very outspoken OU homer, but he seems to know his when it comes to college football, biased or otherwise.
Slightly off-topic, but where is Bob and when is he getting back???
Advice for Aggies - Don't drink from the Glory Hole.
Or maybe you should if it means some sheep are spared. Poor sheep.
Since we're attacking any and all sources - no more ESPN articles regarding texas. Writers may be fans of OU/A&M, but they don't have a substantial investment in the team.
Already stale.
Try and keep up.
We're talking about DMX here, Fpoonsie.
Good to know! Thanks for sharing your expertise about glory holes with the rest of us.![]()
lol thinking your joke that fell Keira Knighley-flat actually upset anyone
Honest question here:
What has Texas done, outside of LHN, that most of, if not all, NU, OU and A&M, and to a lesser extent Tech, were not in agreement on?
You guys are the experts, right? Or are you a 2%er?
Admittedly, vastly funnier than DMX's.
lol @ You still butthurt & Bumming my Keira Knightley comment.
You can't even come up with your own material.
