Well now you have an abundance of quotes to play with![]()
I guess the "twits" were right.
They're still twits.

agreed. awesome."This is Bill Byrne, I'm the athletic director at Texas A&M," said Byrne is a message left on an Aggie alumni's voicemail.
"I just got an email from someone named Roger Roge, or something like that, asking if I still have my tongue up DeLoss Dodds' a - - " said Byrne.
"I'm 65-years-old and people don't say those kinds of things to me," said Byrne.
The writer closes the email saying they hoped Byrne would have time to pull his tongue out of a certain body part of University of Texas' Men's Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds in order to read the email.
"Someone who has no guts to write something like that needs to have their ass kicked," said Byrne.

COLLEGE STATION — The Texas A&M athletic department lacks control of its finances, according to an audit obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.
The department “requires significant improvement in its financial controls and processes,” according to the 25-page report that reviews a span from September 2007 to December 2008. Six accountants from the A&M system performed the internal audit.
Two high-ranking A&M officials said Wednesday that athletic director Bill Byrne's job was not in jeopardy based on the audit's findings. Byrne, who could not be reached for comment Wednesday, addressed the audit in his weekly online column Wednesday.
“The auditors also made one very serious observation,” Byrne wrote. “During the period under audit, they believed that we had limited monitoring of, and limited accountability for, daily financial operations. And during that time, the auditors were correct.”

and? ...nobody cares.
this is the Bill Byrne is an awesome AD thread.
this is an example of more awesomeness.
Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne weighed in with a tweet on Saturday, too.
"Someone vandalized our buses in Lubbock. Excrement inside and outside of buses plus spray painted vulgarities on outside. Classy," he wrote.
"Bus 3 still reeks," he added later.

lol ByrneTexas Tech said the buses were not spray painted, but washable shoe polish was used on the windows of one of the buses. Tech also said "No feces were found either in or on the buses. Fish bait was dropped onto the floor of one of the buses."
The mess was cleaned up by bus drivers and Holiday Inn staff before Byrne saw it.

Lol like that's anymore credible then what Byrne said.
Lmao Byrne never saw it.
if he didnt see it, who told him about it?
The hotel staff, apparently. I'm assuming a couple of them got it wrong at first glance, but told Byrne what they THOUGHT they saw/smelled anyways.
"The buses were written on with shoe shine polish and smelled of manure," Holiday Inn Chief Engineer Henry Gomez said.
link
so explain why Byrne's report of spray paint and excrement should be at all credible.
I'm not denying that he prolly should've held off until he knew ALL the facts before he tweeted, but that doesn't mean that the vandalism didn't happen.
Tech's statement in response to Byrne's allegations is equally laughable:
"* The buses were not spray painted. Instead, washable shoe polish was used on the windows of one of the buses.
* No feces were found either in or on the buses. Fish bait was dropped onto the floor of one of the buses.
* The alleged “vandalism” was cleaned by the bus drivers and Holiday Inn staff before it was seen by the A&M official who tweeted the information.
While incidents such as the ones alleged are inappropriate and strongly condemned by Texas Tech, it is no less wrong to condemn the entirety of our university, students and supporters by posting inaccurate information on the internet for the purpose of sensationalizing the actions of one or a very few. We are disturbed by the careless use of social media to share these inaccuracies."
So, after admitting that the buses were vandalized, they use the phrase "alleged 'vandalism'" complete with the snide quotes to downplay (if not completely dismiss) the incident, and then play the victim card.

Prank =/= vandalism. Vandalism implies property was damaged. That is not the case here.
Lol claiming to be classy when your fans cheered the injury of Colt McCoy and coined the nickname "Cart McCry"
Lol trying to draw attention and implicate the entire Tech fan base over something a couple of dumb fans did.
Lol crying over fish bait when youre leaving for the SEC, where recently alabama fans poisoned auburn's 200 year old sacred trees
Typical ing aggy.
epic butthurt.
3 in a row son. Better luck next.... wait nevermind.
still down overall for b12, right?
so A&M filed a police report for the vandalism, right?
disagree.Tech's statement in response to Byrne's allegations is equally laughable:
Byrne's butthurt tweet is far more laughable than Tech's statement that cleared up the incident.
Byrne played the victim card after someone else's nostrils were allegedly attacked by a fishy smell. So, after admitting that the buses were vandalized, they use the phrase "alleged 'vandalism'" complete with the snide quotes to downplay (if not completely dismiss) the incident, and then play the victim card.
lol aggys.
I'm sure that when Tech finishes with a better record in 2012 that aggy will still remind us of the 3 game winning streak.
Juniors at Texas A&M have never experienced a loss to Texas Tech in any sport since they started at Texas A&M.
Apparently not. But the bus with the stink bait still smelled after being "cleaned", so there's no telling what had to happen to effectively remove the smell after A&M was done with it. [shrug]
The act, in the end, may have not been technically criminal, but it doesn't mean it wasn't incredibly juvenile and "classic Tech."
Byrne was responding to a number of inquiries about a rumor of vandalism. He e-responded and that's that. His editorializing at the end wasn't necessary, but he was prolly annoyed/disgusted at the official report and his tweet reflected as much.disagree.
Byrne's butthurt tweet is far more laughable than Tech's statement that cleared up the incident.
The Holiday Inn employee said it smelled of manure. It wasn't a "fishy smell." In all likelihood, it was catfish stink bait and that can at times be WORSE than manure.Byrne played the victim card after someone else's nostrils were allegedly attacked by a fishy smell.
lol aggys.
whatever will make you sleep better after getting ass ed by Bama, LSU, Arky and the rest next year.
what an insult. That's all you dip s have.
