Wow, this place was already the "slums" but the lockout has made it worse.
I have no problem with comapring chazz bono and Kobe ... that is slightly amusing ...but right now the NBA forum is like the B movie version of the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". (no racial stereotypes intended) Instead of being led by as the intellectually superior Ceasar, the apes and monkeys are instead flinging feces like a middle school food fight.
If this is how it will be as the Spurs decline due to age (Lakers too) I dont know if there is much hope here for bball talk. I hope the Spurs (and of course the Lakers) stay relevant. The opposite has turned this place in to the gutter.
And TBH, laker fan does not have run of this place (forum), the Mavs fans do ... they the champs. I just hope they "raise the bar" ... End rant.
In the interest of bball talk: Anybody see any of the Philly/DC challenge? Not sure how Melo/CP3/Lebron lost but would of loved to have been there. Philly has a special love for sports especially bball in inner city Philly.

Good to hear from you Cully, that maybe true. Havent been here as much lately. But I could care less who is supposed to run it, Im gonna speak my piece regardless. Just saying the Mavs have a skin on the wall, and the proverbial "conch" so to speak, let's hope they use it more wisely than I have seen so far.
^You wouldn't know they have a "skin on the wall" if you didn't know it. They've shown absolutely no inclination to claim what is rightfully their's. Ipso facto, we all suffer, the entire NBA Forum suffers because of their lack of presence.
I can only speculate that Mavs Fans are somewhere else representing in the fine traditions and forsaking this ground for some unknown reason. It's the damnest thing I've seen.

During the playoffs Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler and Brian Cardinal made regular visits to a Texas wellness facility to take part in whole body cryotherapy, standing in a silo that dropped to as low as minus-320 degrees Fahrenheit.
"It's not going to make you fly out of the room or jump like LeBron James," says Terry, "but the feeling you get when you step out of that machine is unbelievable. You feel completely rejuvenated."
"I can't take it quite as cold as some of the others," said Kidd, who split time defending James and Dwyane Wade during the Finals. "But it still worked."
"It gave us a tremendous edge, not only physically but psychologically," Terry says. "I don't know if it was a team-bonding thing, but it's something that came up every day. We'd plan on getting together and hitting it. It became a ritual."
