Also, it's clear Ohsostinko won't do anything besides be the 6th option on this team. At least Moss can be a deep threat. As it is, no deep threat is again hurting the offense because the safeties can cheat. And it will be the team's undoing in the playoffs yet again.

For the past two or three years, the Pats have been one of the tiest teams on 3rd down. I haven't seen much change.
Belichick's personnel decisions have been sketch to say the least. Cutting half the secondary (including the one safety on the team who was decent in coverage) when the half he kept in sucks looks really stupid.

not having THAT Pat Chung is the death of the secondary. He's the saving grace of that hole bunch, and if he's not there we might ass well B.O.H.I.C.A.

and for the record, I stand by the cutting of Merriweather. He wouldn't be helping at all. Once he made a Pro Bowl, he got Roy Williamsitis and thought that he could do the most re ed of all time all game long, just as long as he ed up a receiver or two during the game with a big hit, all would be forgiven. There's no room on an NFL roster for assholes like that.

No physical or big receivers either, which IMO has a lot to do with a flaw in Brady no one talks about. It seems like any throw he's not putting on a line and isn't a bullet is inaccurate and poorly timed. His finesse passes are terrible.

James Sanders was the nig I was referring to. For whatever reason, his veteran presence was never really noticed on the field, but it seemed to keep the defense from imploding.

Sanders was so average and unimportant it was painful, but as bad as it's been this season, average and unimportant would be terrific to see.

I want to know wtf happened to McCourty. And it might be nice to pick up a corner taller than 6 ft one of these days.

He had some nice plays against Miami in Week 1, but he's been dog since then. Stevie was abusing him in the first half, so they moved him onto Donald Jones in the 2nd and the beating continued. The guy was out of position and completely lost all game.

It's still early in the season and anything is possible but what would happen if the Bills and Lions were in the Super Bowl? How would the NFL market a Super Bowl matchup like that? Would people still watch? And another big what if, what if the Bills and Texans wind up in the AFC championship game?

The NFL transcends markets...America will watch the SuperBowl no matter who's in it.

I think it's poor technique and lack of physicality. He's in a man to man scheme and is supposed to jam hard the receiver but rarely does so. The receiver (Marshall or Jackson) being stronger or faster (Johnson) he tries to over-pursue in order to not get beat deep and misses the WR hitting his breaks for big gains. The technique is something that will be corrected and the pats won't face a strong number 1 WR other than Marshall and maybe Bowe.
