Wow, you must not listen to classic rock a lot. Metallica and GnR have been on KZEP for about 7 or 8 years now. I actually heard "nothing else matters" as Muzak in 2001.![]()
Hating all young people, culture, music, bravado, interests, etc.
I hate everything though, but that makes me feel like a crotchedy old man
Which is ing bull , and now they've changed their format and are playing RHCP and other 90s bull .I don't understand why they only play Nothing Else Matters and One and from when they were badass like Call of Ktulu or Ride the Lightning. Guess it's the softness of it though
When I look at my physics textbook from college and it says neutrinos are massless.
BB and I on the same wavelength here. Pun intended.
What makes me feel old? Well, just about everything unfortunately.
Probably the single biggest thing is my lack of memory. It's not what it used to be.
That I remember when Fermat's Last Theorem was the most famous open conjecture in math does the trick too.
Finding out that though I cannot see it, electricity isn't a mystery and IS real and that you can most certainly feel it.
Or that I remember when the Spurs were considered one of the most underachieving franchises in the NBA (like the Suns).
Pretty sporadically. Got five other stations on the car radio, flip back and forth a lot. I did get upset when I heard Nirvana on KZEP the other day, 'cause that crap is not rock.
I like that nirvana crap, and I'm old.
hipsters putting spagetti-oh's in places where spagetti-oh's don't belong
uh...being old....
that usually does it....
and lately...women are addressing me as "sir"...
that's the final nail in the coffin-so to speak...
Watching my nephew run around and wondering where the he gets the energy. I remember the days when I had boundless energy, too. I used to wonder why grown-ups were so lazy, and would run any errand anybody asked of me simply because I had the energy to do so. Now, I don't hardly want to get up from the couch to get myself a drink or make dinner some days.
Walking past the candy counter at the store, looking it up and down....and finding nothing of interest.
What hospital you work at, if you don't mind saying?
Until my crank stops working, Nothing!
After an extended break, I went back to college at 29 to finish my undergrad education and am currently halfway through a grad program at 33 years old. Because of that, my social circle for the last four years has been primarily made up of people between six and twelve years younger than me. The huge differences in points of reference -- finding out they barely remember things that were big when I was in high school, for instance -- make me feel old pretty often. But it's not necessarily a bad old. I'm pretty secure in who I am and where I'm at in life, and I'm never made to feel like the weird old lady hanging out with the kids, so I kind of don't give a damn.
I will admit to have gotten momentarily freaked out a couple months ago when I realized this summer would have been my 15th high school reunion, though. Oddly enough, I wasn't bothered by the fact it's been 15 years since I graduated, but I did feel old when I did the math and realized that means it's been almost an even 20 years since I started my freshman year.
It definitely makes me feel old when I'm ing a seventeen year old girl and she tells me we need to hurry up and get her back home before eleven or her dads going to ground her for two weeks.
umm...
you should shut the up about this or just say you were joking....
it is called statutory rape...
it would be pretty in' sad if the parents decided to prosecute...
so shut the up....idiot.
Not in Texas
Let's hope idiot boy/rapist is not lying and she is actually under 17...
