Calvin Johnson
I think you're splitting hairs between the three of them. Personally, I'd take CJ because he is a TD machine and virtually unstoppable in the red zone.
Davone Bess and it's not even close
Torrey Smith and it's not even close.
if thats the case then im goin with Braylon Edwards
Kind of like Cris Carter during his playing days?
Drew Brees. The L.T. to Brees combo was the most lethal passing attack in NFL history
Dirk might want to take that Marshall hype else where is well. He's not even top 5.
Megatron beat triple coverage for a TD like it was child's play![]()
The QB argument has some merit, but Marshall, if he was truly top 5 would be doing way more than he does.
I like Marshall a lot, but he never scores...
Not just that, he doesn't beat double & triple teams like the other top guys either.
Did Rob Ryan really say Calvin Johnson would be the third best receiver on the Cowboys?
Really Rob? Why would you even say that anyway?
This. If you double or triple team Marshall, he stops running hard routes, stops trying to get open, and then eventually stops caring when he goes awhile without getting the ball.
A guy creeping back from the dead into the elite WR conversation is Steve Smith but his stats haven't produced any wins for his team.
Ya, but you can't just look at stats. The league has become way more superficial and it's almost like arena football now. Everyone is chucking 400 yards and td's like nothing. It's not really indicative of talent IMO.
Watch how guys are when things aren't going well. Watch what they do when they are doubled and in a close game, not playing from behind all the time.
Calling out Megatron![]()
