I would guess instead, that a strong possibility exists that this couple keeps talking among themselves and their friends about how terrible men are. What boy would want to become a man under such a situation?

That said, assuming the article is correct, the boy is probably permanently damaged. No way to know this for certain until he goes through puberty. Once hormonal changes take place, he could very well accept being a man. On the flip side however, if a sex change is to be performed, it is better to do it before any male hormonal effects take place... that is before puberty.

Sorry, but only adults should be allowed to have surgical medical alterations and enhancements. It should be considered in the same light as the right to vote, drive or drink. Basically the age of accountability.

don't remember which show, something like 20/20 or Dateline, but there was an episode a few months back about people regreting their sex change they had when they were young later on in life. And this boy wasn't even part of the episode

He is not having surgery. He is blocking male puberty hormones.

Tammy Lobel's hormones are being blocked by an implant on the inside of the 11-year-old's upper left arm, which must be replaced once a year.

Ms Moreno explained: 'In other words, she will stay as a pre-pubescent boy until she decides and we feel that she can make this decision about surgery.'

Probably so, but do you know that with certainty? Plenty of kids have issues of one sort or another in normal families. Could just be coincidence.

Still, I agree the likelihood is the environment of being raised by lesbians. At the same time, I know none of us are in the position to make such judgement with any certainty.
