2k's out-of-the-box ratings are total anyway. The only people who use them are casual fans/gamers.

As for the Big 3's ratings the only one who seems to be underrated is Parker, and not by much (probably on the athleticism side of things as many guys are not as fast, or explosive as they should be while others are way too fast, and jump like LeBron).

There won't be any rookies in 2K12 until the lockout is sorted out in which case they will have a patch update.

Also, I like that 2k12 isn't overrating Dirk based on him winning a ring, he had a very average NBA finals. LeBron didn't play up to his standards in the finals, but still had a better overall playoff run than Dirk, that's obvious. It's also obvious he's far and away the best player in the league. For anyone to question his high rating is pure hating.

the overall rating aka the rating that was posted in the original post includes everything, so while parker may have a 90+ in categories like speed and quickness he probably has an average shot, rebounding, assists, and defense rating which brings his overall rating down...same with dirk, his shot and offense in general may have a high 90s rating but his pathetic rebounding and defense brings hiss overall rating down

i honestly wouldnt rate anyone today higher than 96. really kobe a 94 & dirk 85. dirk should be a little higher 86 or 87. kobe shouldnt be any higher than 90. doesnt matter 2k's rating are always horrible but this list is better than 2k11 ratings.

Well the ratings need to put a higher priority in offense I guess. So technically Dirk should be rated above 90 but the settings make defense and rebounding too much of the formula.
