Well, when you work for someone, you become an image of their business, product, etc. The Dixie Chicks pissed off much of their listeners. Williams probably didn't, but was an employee of a Network. I like Williams, but he screwed up. There are other examples of people fired doing things within the bounds of their job, but were fired for perceived racism when it wasn't the case. I find this deplorable.
