I don't know about the OP. The money part is irrelevant. But these are just more miles on his legs that the Spurs won't get the benefit of. Not to mention the potential of an injury.

But I'm sure TP's not thinking that. He's thinking he wants to play basketball. And in the back of his mind he knows 1) he's financially secure for the rest of his life and 2) he's won NBA championships. I get the part about wanting to play. But when your primary employer has paid you millions of dollars and has committed to pay you millions more, I think you owe him a little more thought and responsibility.
