Well, balls. Says that no CC info was compromised this time though I'm at a loss for how anyone in their right minds would still have any on there anymore after the last debacle. As long as there's not another interuption of service I just shrug at this.
Good thing they changed their ToS Agreement to deny users the right to class action lawsuits.
Sony's new marketing: You can have your own meltdown in your living room

Electronics giant Sony Corp suffered a fresh blow on Wednesday after several of its Bravia LCD televisions sets emitted smoke or parts began to melt, a company official said on Wednesday.
Why is it good?

Too much time in the political forum will do that to you.

ps3 nuthuggers
Sony
That's the problem with rebuilding a brand new security design, you don't know what new holes you've created. Obviously they had at least one...
Guess I should've used the blue.![]()
It seems Sony wasn't really hacked, but info from an outside source was being used, such as email and other sites user names and passwords. they were just spamming the network for people that use the same user-name and passwords that they might use other places. Read the article guys.
The article doesn't say anything about that. All the article says is "accounts may have been compromised after a hack led to 93,000 accounts being compromised."
And it's not like brute-force attacks and dictionary attacks are anything new. That shouldn't lead to Sony locking out 90,000+ accounts; they should concentrate their efforts on blocking the spamming IPs, enforce more stringent authentication policies, or inform users to use more secure (and perhaps unique) passwords.
I like the PS3. I don't get online. Beats that red ring of death piece of Gates .
I have a Bravia that was bought around 2009. I think I may be in the clear. At least I hope so. It's a good TV with a beautiful picture.
But I can see why Sony is losing out to Samsung. Those are some gorgeous TVs, whether they be LCD, Plasma, or LED.
