    Taking a trip to California this week I will be in the L.A. area trying to find a nice lake down there for some fishing, any ideas? thanks!

    If i wasn't flying this time Eppe I would do it for sure. unfortunately the other halfs cousin is wedding some clown and I have to make this trip a little shorter than I would like.

    Depends on what kinda fish you want...big stanky...

    Try Lake Isabella in Kern County....

    Castiac in LA county...

    Or if you want some of dat Kool trout try fishing @ Cachuma in Santabarbara

    Seriously though if you can afford it Skut...bout 25 miles from Long Beach you can hit up Catalina....bout 2hrs by boat. Deep sea fishing is always the best.

    well i took kools advice and hit up lake isabella, I must say quite a nice place. had alot of luck actually. one more day of fishing on wednesday im thinking of going back or that castiac place instead. thanks kool

    and passist big bear has been a destination ive wanted to go to for a while hopefully next time when the wife tags along i can go.

    but yea im hoping to hit up as many lakes as possible while im out here being that im a avid fisherman and the L.a. area seems to have alot!

    I dont normally enjoy fishing, but when I do I prefer it to be in one of L.a.'s many great lakes.. stay thirsty my friends.

    Big Bear has an amazing view of the San Bernadino smog. It's more a winter destination anyways.

    Big Bear has an amazing view of the San Bernadino smog. It's more a winter destination anyways.
    You won't really see any smog past Running Springs.
