season may not be lost after all... he should be able to put out comparable production to campbell. better pure passer, but not quite as mobile. ill definitely take it.
everyone just better be happy, because VY was also being considered
VY on the Raiders: NFL = fcked

He's an upgrade over Campbell (never been impressed by Campbell at all)
but yeah they gave up way too much
Al Davis had a hand in this . This had to be in his Will![]()
geez, i didnt realize he threw for about 4000 yards last year. mainly interceptions is what killed him, but the bengals sucked ass. he might do pretty solidly in Oakland, with plenty of downfield options at receiver, a good TE in Boss, and most of all, a great run game with D-Mac.
I'm cool with this pickup. Not really concerned about giving up the picks. I agree it was a bit too much, but I'm not really broken up about it. Rarely does a draft pick transform a franchise. There's more Rick Miners and Ryan Leafs than there are Peyton Mannings. The NFL draft is a big crap shoot, and with the Raiders unlikely to get a top 5 pick in the next two years since they've finally decided to stop sucking ass, I think the gamble is worth it.
Jesus Christ. Did Oakland watch Palmer play last year?
That 1st better have some protections on it at least because a rusty Palmer could lead Oakland to 6-10.
Raiders don't have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th if this goes down. Although they may get a compensatory 3rd.
he threw for about 4000 yards on a crummy team that he had no desire to play for whatsoever, and the year before that he somehow led them to the playoffs.
i agree they gave up too much, but he wasnt nearly as bad as it looks when considering all aspects.
Yeah he wasnt on a very good team, true true
It will be interesting how the Raiders do with Palmer; I'm not a Raiders fan, but that jersey is badass, and it would be nice to see hem become contenders in a near future
Palmer had to put up with T.O. and OchoCinco last season when both of them were washed up and still giving their teammates a sideshow and bull to deal with (and it was obvious Palmer was miserable from the beginning of last season to the end). He had maybe his best game of the year at the end of the season when both TO and OchoCinco were injured. With the injuries he'll never been 2005 Palmer again but he'll be a good QB in Oakland where there aren't any re ed personalities for him to deal with.
Way too much for Palmer. I guess the trend now is to overpay for a decent QB.
I wonder how long it takes for him to get into game shape.
HOLY . I've been playing fifa all morning and missed this. yes.
My first thought. I figured they'd get him for a 2nd and 4th, MAYBE.
I'm sure the conditional first is some crazy feat, though. Like maybe getting into the AFC Championship or Super Bowl.
1st rd pick in 2012.
AND
If they win a playoff game this yr, its a 2013 1st rd pick; it will be a second-round pick if they don't.
I remember his stats being much better when TO was out last year, as well.
Go back to the NBA forum and play with the other children there.
