The players will get what the market allows. Since the owners are the ones with their hands on the shutoff valve, they can show solidarity and never even consider the costs.
Players are lucky to be making anything. They think they deserve big money because they are genetically gifted and legwarmers like OP Dumbass buy they endorse, but for all intents and purposes they are ing useless. The sooner they realize that the sooner we can get back to watching them run up and down the court doing the one thing they know how to do.
Entertainment is always discretionary spending, and as long as you are in that industry, you are likely to see the highs and lows of discretion.
