    I'll admit I did not post until on here until around the Gasol deal. I just read for a few seasons prior. I thought the Pistons vs. Spur fans debates were the best I had found online.
    I had visited some Rox and suns forums but this place had the best posters.
    But the hatred Spur fans (not just here but living in SA) was so visceral. But when they had us under thumb, it was just Kobe hate. Now that we are (were) on top ...it went haywrie. No way 4 seasons ago would a REAL spur fan root for the Mavs over the Lakers. Cuban not only built his team to beat the Spurs he talked about the city, he denigrated the Riverwalk.

    But with the cleansing of the spurs in 2008 and the backtoback ...the war has grown to epic and often childish porportions ...

    Not really. I mean, sure, Spursfan don't like Lakerfan that's a given. They were the major foe to beat during Spur's peak. It's a lot like the renewed LA-Boston rivalry post Gasol.

    Where it gets childish is with Spursfan that thought we could win trotting out Bonner/RJ yelling with Lakerfan that thought big- ty Drew was heading to the HOF.

    But that happens everywhere, tbh

    And I'm taking exception with this too. Phil talked trashed about the city as much as Cubes did. And Spursfan always had the kryptonite to use against Mavfan.

    I lost (and most importantly paid) $500 rooting against the Mavs so that argument doesnt hold weight. You can't act like GNSF is all Spursfan. If that's the case LA fan is truly , just look at LG.
