This game just makes me appreciate Derek Holland even more. The ceiling for that kid is incredibly high. Future ace of this team. His Game 4 performance pushed CJ out the door just as much as any bad start CJ has had lately.

I don't know how many more chokes with RISP the Cards have, but get ready to party Ranger.

The games I've seen him close (which are admittedly, not many), he's had trouble getting the ball into the strike zone and has walked batters in terrible situations, and needed to be saved by the defense out in the field.

Hard to argue with 7/7, but he looked like he was ready to give that one away tonight. Beans the first batter with no outs, then he put a couple pitches right into Pujols' sweet spot. He got bailed out by that double-play on the strike (funny how the Cards tried to avoid the double play by....manufacturing a double play).

Is he the type of pitcher that guys have trouble knocking the ball out of the park with?
That's just what Feliz has done all season. He either allows a hit/walk to the first batter, and locks stuff down there on out.

And yes, he doesn't give up many home runs. He is just too fast for most hitters, and if he is feeling his off-speed pitch, then its pretty much guaranteed he will strike out 2, if not all 3 during his outing.

He definitely needs to work on limiting walks for next season though, and continue to develop his off-speed pitch.

Gonna be at work during the game, but'll be glued to 103.3.

Considering DVR'n the game, but I'm a firm believer in sports jinxes, and'm already uneasy by stretch's post preceding mine.

2-2 ball game going into 9th.

Nobody is surprised to see Berkman warming up in the Cards bullpen.

Rangers take it 7-3 tonight. Jaime Garcia has been off and on all season. Tonight he's off.

Colby Lewis has been playing way over his head in the postseason. He has come back down to earth now.

It is all the same in the end. You failed to win the world series for the second year in a row.

Garcia is a stud. He is shutting down those Rangers bats outside of that 1 run.

Only gave up 1 run. Cards turn now. This is going to get ugly for Lewis and company.
