Well it's a true statement that San Antonio's MLB team has never choked, even if it's only because they don't exist and nobody in their right mind would put a baseball team in that hole.

Not true. According to a city representative that posts on this very site, SA could easily support several MLB teams.
That's a cool story and all, but you didn't name the worse choker, Mavs or Rangers.
I'll wait.
Maybe it's a small market that's why no one wants to put a MLB team in San Antonio.
San Antonio can barely sell out their playoff basketball games, who the thinks they deserve any other teams?
Our city's sports forum seems to do well enough.
Yeah if it can only contribute to ticket sales and market share.
Thing is a lot of posters in this "well-doing" city sports forum of yours are majorly from big-market teams.
So does the Miami Dolphins Forum (60,000+ members), but nobody goes to the ing games
It's to be determined. If the Rangers pull off the miracle and win game 7, then it's Mavs. However, if the Rangers complete the chokejob and lose game 7 then they get that honor.
Blowing a 3-2 lead in the World Series is worse than blowing a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. Just think about it. When you're up 3-2, you are one win away from the championship. When you're up 2-0, you still got to win 2 more games.
If the Rangers win tomorrow, no one gives a about tonight, however...
They were one strike away, twice!
That's like ... nothing I've seen in basketball. Even .4 doesn't get close.
The Mavs had more things against them than the Rangers. Their offense went cold, and Stern was in the process of trying to make Wade the next Jordan. However, a
2-0 lead is just a 2-0 lead. You need two more wins after that.
Seriously you don't know baseball if you think it is odd for players to get hits with 2 strikes against them. But yeah it still is crushing.
I didn't say it was odd. You don't know reading comprehension, got.
It would mean you think it was a big choke. Yet if it was such a choke, how come it happens all the time. .4 rarely happens during a game while hitting with 2 strikes happens quite often. It is no .4 choke job. That will forever be a Spurs thing.![]()
Check out the big brain on Brad....
It was a big choke. It was a HUGE choke.
When was the last time a team lost in extra innings after being down to the opponents last strike of the series, and up two runs? I'll check tomorrow to see if you figured that one out.Yet if it was such a choke, how come it happens all the time.

It wasn't just two strikes, it was two strikes with TWO outs, up TWO runs in the World Series in the series clinching game.
Don't pretend it's a regular season game, dip . Pujols popped three out of the park in one game, last one to do it was Reggie, but hey, people have hit 3 in one game before... not a big deal, right?
So you're not only a got, but also an idiot.
Nonetheless, one hit on 2 strikes is not uncommon. It is not inconceivable to get a big hit with 2 strikes. Rangers had a 3 run inning. It was the Cardinals turn. They got too good of hitters to feel comfortable with a 2 run lead in the final inning. Especially since it was their strongest part of their lineup. Pujols, Berkman, and etc.
Looks like Antonio Romo and the Rangers are doing more than enough choking in Choke City to make up for the Mavs and Dirks lack of choking this postseason![]()
Dallas has that choking quota that they have to fulfill every year...when the Mavs won, you knew they'd eventually have to compensate in one or more of their other franchises![]()
1 championship ain't enough to shut you s up tbh
It's like the ring never happened. ing haters.
^You guys led, but, you still reek of failure.
It happens.
