Probably more of a blessing than anything for the Cardinals with the way he's been swinging the bat and the fact that he's a subpar defender anyway.
Its almost here boys, the moment of truth.

I was kinda thinking the same, but at the same time they are plugging in a rookie who has barely played. And even though he wasnt doing well, he is still a threat to break out at any time. At least that threat is likely gone.
How do you see tonights game going, Jammy?
Yeah but Craig has actually had some big hits in the series. I'd take his bat over Holliday, and I would assume Holliday is still available to pinch hit for the pitcher's spot tonight at some point. Is he out completely? I don't know what's been reported. But you add that pinky to his already weak bat, I think it's better for Craig to start and get the 3-4 ABs instead of Holliday.
I have no idea about tonight's game. Going into the series, I thought the Rangers had a chance to roll through the Cardinals because of their offense. I think it's played out that the two teams are pretty evenly matched. In a game 7 though, I guess you would have to give some type of advantage to the home team. Probably a similar scenario as some of the other games, fairly low scoring through the first 4-5 innings, then both offenses wake up against the bullpen. I know going into the series, both bullpens were the story. But I think the pressure has gotten to the relievers on both sides. And that's where the game will be decided. I expect both Carpenter and Harrison to be at least solid to start the game.
I'll say this though. I don't care how well or poorly Pujols is swinging the bat, I wouldn't let him see one pitch anywhere near the plate unless the bases are empty and it's early in the game (first 3 innings). After that, he's not seeing a good pitch the rest of the game. If Berkman and Freese beat you, so be it.
Is there any word on Cruz? I can't imagine he'd be out for tonight, but curious about the possibility of him being hampered by that...injury?
No worries. Cards bats will win this game for them tonight. I am out to a friends house to watch the game. Enjoy losing this game, Rangers fans. I will be back here to rub it in your faces that the Cards are 2011 World Series Champs.![]()
Intentional walk on Pujols with the bases empty, lol.
And an unintentional one to Berkman now?
What are the chances Pujols hits a double or homer.... right??
. Cards middle of the lineup is ing sick
How much longer can the Rangers possibly afford to have Harrison out there?
Of course Young didn't catch that.
OK, when Furcal is 2-2 against you, it's time to go to the pen.
I wasn't sure Cruz was going to catch that fly
Paging, Rangers offense...
You gotta be ing kidding me...
Pitching needs to wale the up
Giving away free points...good strategy![]()
