Specifically, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace supports the idea of a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) as a means to better promote social justice and solidarity. This undoubtedly has the Pope’s blessing, so to speak, and is significant in its recognition that social justice is a priority, revenue has to come from some place, and high finance should increase its contributions to the public coffers worldwide.

Selling debt is weaksauce that our economy is now based on. Bond markets dominate every other market. It makes sense to tax a parasitic type of deal.

I think it needs to be made that the debtors explicit permission is required to sell their debt too.

    seems a little far.
However, they had to know that there would be resistance to the idea BECAUSE it came from them. I guess they were just trying to leverage their 1B followers.

I would originate my mortgage through anyone but wells fargo, then allow my loan to be sold only to wells fargo. LOL

They create so many of their own rules that don't exist in scripture. The make graven images. They worship Mother Mary.

    graven images??? worshiping mary???

Never mind, I am talking with WC, I will just assume you were told that these things were true and don't actually know much about the catechism.

Am I wrong about all the symbolism and praying to Mary?

I don't know how religious you are, so I don't know how well this will work for you, but have you ever asked a friend to pray for you? Have you ever prayed for a friend, or had them ask you to pray for them if they were going through a hard time? That is the same deal with Mary.

It's not about Mary answering your prayers, it is about adding Jesus' mom to your prayer circle. "holy mary mother of god, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death"

As far as symbolism goes, I haven't been to a church, catholic or protestant, which doesn't have a cross.
