Sandusky's autobiography is called "Touched." Can't make this stuff up.

Penn State is in big, big trouble.
Everyone heard of this yet? Pretty ing sickening stuff. Everyone involved needs to be disposed of, include Paterno.

Basically a former coordinator raped a bunch of young boys for years and everyone covered it up.

Penn State is in big, big trouble.
Paterno will be gone within the week. This is inexcusable.
Holy .
I really hope so. I have a sick feeling he'll somehow get away with this and everyone else will be blamed.
Paterno is the most overrated coach in NCAA (any sport) history and I can't wait for him to be gone.
all Paterno has done for Penn State in the last decade or so is hang out in the press box and basically play NCAA Football on Playstation 3 while the real coaches are down on the field calling the game. at least 60-70 of his wins and probably more are wins that anyone could have received the credit for.
Lets try and keep some perspective here..
..there is no way Paterno did not have some idea what was happening. Considering sandusky's role and close relationship with Paterno, nothing makes sense but for him to retire or get fired.
As many reporters have pointed out, this is so much bigger than football and college sports. Yet, the mob slows for nothing, it seems.
I'm confused as to what you're wanting the mob to slow down for.
College football mob. This situation is far more important than any game this weekend..
1) Paterno should be gone or invisible this week
2) Focus should be on the situation not the game
3) Fans and administration in State College need to wake up; this is nothing close to the Duke Lacrosse fiasco years back where Duke overreacted and without evidence. In this matter, its cut and dry, there is no room for interpretation.. game over
so sons has Nick "I only have loyalty to programs for 5 years max" Saban lined up for the Penn State job yet?
I agree with everything you said, but that's not anyone slowing down, that's speeding it up.
So since this cover-up seems to go to the highest levels of the organization, is there any conceivable reason the Penn State football program shouldn't be given the death penalty?
This is exponentially worse than any player compensation scandal in the history of college FB.
lmao
PSU officials are already planning Paterno's exit. President Spanier definitely has to go too, as well as everyone else who knew anything about it. I probably know more about the case than most of you, and Paterno is definitely going to receive a larger backlash than he deserves, but with something this ed up they just have to clean house. Spanier is definitely more at fault than Paterno, and yet he probably won't be ousted as quickly as Paterno. Goddamn I hate that bag Graham Spanier.
There has been a lot of speculation throughout this fall that Urban Meyer was a very possible candidate to takeover at PSU. He's been to a couple of games here this season and apparently within the past week has bought/rented a house at a neighboring town. I just hope all of this isn't enough to deter him from considering coaching PSU.
I don't think there's anything lmao about this.
It's ing reprehensible.
Yeah normally there's something funny about NCAA scandals but this is pretty sickening. I don't think there's any way you can receive a "larger backlash than you deserve" in this case if you're Paterno. If Paterno knew anything at all about what was going on and didn't do everything he could to get to the bottom of it, he should lose his job immediately and it should be a huge ass stain on his reputation/legacy.
If there was a justifiable reason to vacate wins and/or bowl games because of this that would be a great way to up the all time win record Paterno owns, but unfortunately wins aren't tied to letting your former assistant molest boys.
I think this deserves an "lmao." You're deluded if you think Urban Meyer is walking into that mess. Best Penn State can do, IMO, is Greg Schiano- maybe.
Yeah, the current players shouldn't be punished for something that took place years ago and had nothing to do with them.
Alvarez, I sure hope you're not one of those dumb students at Paterno's house chanting his name.
lol no I've wanted him out for some time now.
The rumors were he was seriously considering it (toss up between PSU and OSU), but I agree it's not very likely anymore.I think this deserves an "lmao." You're deluded if you think Urban Meyer is walking into that mess. Best Penn State can do, IMO, is Greg Schiano- maybe.
Sorry for the previous "lmao", I've gotten into a habit to start many of my posts with a lol or lmao.
I was pissed earlier when I found out the Paterno press conference was canceled by Spanier's office. Apparently there were 200+ different media outlets on campus today hoping to get in on the action, and of course Spanier canceled the presser. He would have gotten bombarded. I wonder if they will let him finish the season and have him resign, or fire him within the next couple of days. If Spanier isn't gone within the next couple of weeks though, I have nothing more to say.
Tbh I still think Urban Meyer to Ohio State is inevitable.
I think they should be given an option to transfer (in or out of conference) without penalty if there is a death penalty, but I don't think a death penalty should be ruled out. Paying recruits with hookers and cars isn't compared to letting a former assistant coach violate teenage boys using team facilities then trying to cover it up.
