No. He then tried to force her to go down on him. (allegedly)
So he pulled a high school date stunt. As soon as she indicated she didn't want such contact, he backed off... Right or wrong, by her account?
No. He then tried to force her to go down on him. (allegedly)
After that, he backed off.
So then, unwanted groping, plus trying to push her head into his lap while saying
You do want a job, don't you?
But after that Cain backed off, so it's really no big deal.
Misdemeanor sexual assault barely rises, like you suggested, to the level of a high school prank.
Hmmm...
So, "toward my genitals," without touching them, is contact?
Wow... You consider that a misdemeanor?
Look, if this is true, it was definitely a classless move. Something I expect more than half the people here would do with a chick date in a car.
Yes. Unwanted sexual contact is a crime.Wow... You consider that a misdemeanor?
I think myself and many other commentators on these boards would say that you are extremely biased to one side. You'd admit it yourself if you would compare posts you've read regarding liberals in scandals vs conservatives in scandals.
Don't forget I have said I generally either spoil my vote on a third party, or vote republican. The reason is I cannot stand most democrats because most democrats are liberals.
I am not pro republican.
I am anti democrat.
That was not sexual contact.
Yes. Groping is contact. So, "toward my genitals," without touching them, is contact?
Not even with the context of trying to force her to go down on him while suggesting her job might depend on it?
How magnanimous of you.
Yes, he touched her. Are you saying he bade it that far?
Again, if her account is true, I'd like to see something that defines what he did as illegal, rather than just poor judgement.
The worst kind.
I'm not saying he touched her thing, or that he made her touch his. Perhaps it doesn't rise to the level of sexual assault, but it is almost surely sexual harassment.
OK, I can accept some of that. However, let your bias go for a minute, and think outside the box, of the "what ifs."
One example.
What if these two had an affair some time earlier. Maybe moths ago, maybe years. What if they already knew each other intimately in the past. Maybe, from how she describes the events, Cain heard:
1) I'm coming to see you.
2) I have a hotel at the Hilton.
3) Where do you want to meet?
Now Cain upgrades the room, expecting a sexual encounter. Wines and dines her, then parks to make sure if he's wrong, he doesn't make a scene in public.
Do you think this is plausible?
As for an alleged misdemeanor...
Cain caught Jaywalking... News at 11...
Equal by law, right? If a candidate ever was ticketed for jaywalking, should that be the end of his candicy?
Also, back to 1997, what ever law you find today, was it even such a law, or viewed the same in 1997?
Kind of depends on the misdemeanor, doesn't it? Assault Causing Bodily Injury with family violence designations and DWI 2nd's are also misdemeanors, both of which would give me pause if they were on a candidate's record, even an arrest.
I will say I have difficulty seeing any kind of "sexual assault" based on what's been rumored. At most, simple assault in the form of unwanted advances causing reasonable apprehension.
Let me add a few more likely "what if" scenarios:
1. What if she dressed like a , and Cain expected her to be open for service?
2. What if she exhibited the symptoms of a typical nymphomaniac, and Cain expected her to be in the mood?
3. What if she looked like the type of woman whose preferred form of greeting a man was to kneel and press her mouth against his genitals, and Cain expected to be greeted in this way?
I think you should email these brilliant suggestions to Cain. I can see the Tea Party buying all of those explanations.
Deny deny deny.
9-9-9
lol lol lol
Pretty sure a hand on the back of the head is contact.
It might not hold up as "sexual contact" in court.
Jesus, in the exact same thread!
