You raise a generation on "Teen Mom" and "Real World" and you're surprised by these results?

This is the result of a culture that mythologizes someone for having the "courage" to go for it on fourth down.

Imagine what students from '60s, '70s are thinking. Then: protest war, race on campus. Now: protest for guy who covers for child molester.

Yeah, this is gonna look REALLY bad. This school has just developed a desire to riot for any reason. I was just out there to check it all out, it was nuts. They tipped a news van and the riot police took forever to start doing anything, but finally started tear gassing people after a couple more light posts went down. This all happening within a 1.5 block radius around my building, it's been going around different locations.
The board of trustees were pretty stupid in how they handled the press conference though. They were horrible at answering any questions, decide to fire 2 head figures but literally moments after also state.."we still don't know a lot of the facts" or something along those lines. It was just a really sloppy/unprepared performance all around. And of course, it could have waited until tomorrow morning. Releasing this news at 10 PM, given this school's recent history, was just about guaranteeing a riot.
I'd be embarrassed to be a Penn State student or alum right now seeing those idiots on the streets defending a guy who failed to protect children from being anally raped.
It's crazy that you're right in the middle of that... stay safe!
I'm back inside and safe. Almost got hit by a flying beer bottle. I was outside for most of it because it's innately an exciting experience seeing this kind of destruction with thousands of people in person.
Sending Paterno out by a phone call is pretty ed up.. I'll give JoePa that much.
Either way Penn State has handled this whole thing terribly, but I guess it's hard to know what to do in a situation like this.
Somewhat ironic since a phone call to the police 9 years ago could have prevented this one
And you're an asshole.
lol. Get your facts straight. In December when Tat-gate came about is was just the five players and the Tressel stuff was not discovered until January when the University was preparing the appeal for the players.
Knowing what was known in December the decision to let them play was the right one. It was the AD and Jim Delany that wanted them to play. Tressel wanted them to sit.
When the Tressel stuff came out in January I had no problem with the decisions that were made in May to vacate the season and return the BCS money. That was done to avoid any future penalties and not to punish the players who had already played in that game.
As for Joe Pa, it is sad to see it end the way it has, but when you fail that bad on a moral level, whether or you are a legend or an icon, it is time for you to go.
Paterno got railroaded.
He deserved worse.
At least to this point you haven't lyao about this subject matter like you do downstairs.
Noble work you're doing there, Dumper.
Anyone who thinks Paterno didn't deserve everything he got supports child molestation.
The students' reaction to all of this seems very strange to me. If I were a student there I'd be glad Paterno was let go, if for no other reason then it at least begins the process of moving on from all of this.
Please. You're another one who comes up here and beats his adorable hairless chest about child molestation then goes down stairs & lyao about it.
Signed,
- Pappy
We already knew you were a child molester. You and this guy probably would ride around in your van at night.
But, downstairs you thought it a hoot. Up here, you're all weepy eyed & morally outraged.
You were either lying then, or, lying now.

I'm not surprised Cully is sympathizing so much with a child molestation conspiracy ring.
Please. You'll go back downstaris when the coast is clear and lyao about child molestation. Like you always have.
The chickens have come to roost, daddy.

Look at Cully, callin' me daddy, if this don't beat it all.
Let us proceed...
^Just checkin' assholes, D. Started with Dumper first. You're second. I'll be trollin' this thread and this PA. event for backsliders from downstairs who downstairs thought child molestation was of a jocular nature, but, up here want to act all high & mighty about it.
Uh, uh.
