I don't think McQueary did enough, but to villify him is ridiculous imo. After all, it's his grand jury testimony that is lighting this powder keg.

LA Sports radio was reporting a media guy back East predicted this whole Penn State deal 6 months ago. Can't remember name of guy. Said he was bombastic and over the top and so a lot of what he said was blown off due to his rep. But now if you read his 6 months old article it's like exactly what just came down at Molest State.
I think I posted the link here. Maddux was his name... from Pittsburgh.

I think JGW defending Mc y is re ed. .
i am not sure how you came to that conclusion. i never said, nor insinuated, anything of the such. you should reread; my point is i think its absurd everyone, literally, has been saying they would have physically stopped the 'act' ..i am not so sure. in fact, i highly doubt it. but i am not defending anything, simply pointing out its very easy to arm chair strategize after the fact. typical.

personally, i think i would have intervened.. but cannot say with absolute certainty. i was not in the situation and its very difficult to imagine.

^Media shaped & framed 'em. They're startin' to get with the program.

    That's what American Media does.

A day late and a dollar short
They figured if Media could be morally bankrupt for over a decade in the shadow of raped children, they was en led to a few days to get their mind right.

What happened to the real Jay Mariotti after beating his girlfriend or whatever?

    They didn't mandate anything AFAIK.

You have to wonder if Penn State mandated that candlelight visual.
Media brow beating 'em for 72 hours straight does strange things to the American psyche.

They'll be a gaggle of victims that Sandusky never got within a mile of before this is over.

    But, it's for the kids.

    tee, hee.

I don't, and I would say it's trying to understand his thinking.

This is someone he's been taught to idolize and admire his entire life. In a culture that teaches, above all else, to protect the program.

In the moment, I can understand it, but certainly not condone it.

Now McQ still going to Second Mile events with Sandusky after seeing that old er raping these kids? Just plain ed up and unpossible to try and understand. Business as usual for all involved.

The fact that Sandusky wasn't tarred, feathered and banished by PSU leads me to believe that Joe isn't the only one to know where all the bodies are buried in Happy Valley.

They all need to burn for this.

Just to underscore how ed up the brainwashed mentality is around Happy Valley, McQ is getting death threats, not for doing more for the child, but for getting JoePa fired.

This book is going to be a must read and I hope someone with chops authors it.

Sandusky and his wife have six adopted children and have been foster parents throughout the years. They live within a block of a school and a playground.

You can't make this stuff up.

Apparantly they are not all ass kissing pedo condoners.

A plane just flew overhead (see below) with a sign that, according to multiple witnesses, reads: "Joe is so dirty he needs a shower."

In addition to power and control dynamics among the staff and Paterno’s powerful presence in the community, a crazy tradition at Penn State was the coaches showered together after each practice and game. We never did this at Brown or at the University of Rhode Island, and my coaching friends never experienced this on their staffs.
Oh, this is definitely going to become a lot worse as former coaches and GAs start to speak out.

PSU supporters continue to be stupid s:

In the middle of Curtin Road, John Matko held one handwritten sign in his right hand and rested another against his jeans. Two inches of black tape obscured Penn State’s logo on the 34-year-old father’s hat, as he tried to ignore the jeers, slaps and beer hurled at him.

“Put abused kids first,” one of Matko’s signs read. “Don’t be fooled, they all knew. Tom Bradley, everyone must go.”

Penn State's Beaver Stadium loomed 30 yards away, rumbling with the first roars of Saturday’s game with Nebraska. The sea of blue-clad supporters wearing gray fedoras and camouflage hunting jackets and “This is JoePa’s house” T-shirts parted around Matko.

“That is such bull–-!” one young woman screamed at him after glancing at the signs. “Who the f– do you think you are?”

Eyes hidden by blue aviator sunglasses, Matko didn’t respond.

The night before, thousands of students held candles and sang Coldplay’s “Fix You” a capella in front of Old Main to support victims of sexual abuse. They wanted to show a different side to Penn State than the 40 charges of child sexual abuse against ex-football assistant Jerry Sandusky or the riots late Wednesday after the university fired iconic coach Joe Paterno for his role in the cover-up.

Under Saturday’s cloudless sky, Curtin Street revealed something else.
