There's no evidence that Iraq had any connection to Al Queda.

Seeing that Al Queda was a group of Muslim extremists, and Hussein was a secular dictator who persecuted any form of religion in Iraq, I'd say that it's a pretty asinine opinion to think the two were connected.

Before you claim I know nothing, I've taken 2 different classes on the history of Al Queda and how Islamic extremism operates in the middle east. A secular dictator like Saddam isn't someone who was an ally to Al Queda.

Saddam people did meet with the AL Queda in Iraq leader. Zarqawi I think he was. There is nothing in the reports that Saddam himself met with him but his top guys did. Saddam stated that any terrorist group could come train for free in Iraq as long as they fought against and targeted Israel or America. Every intelligence group in the world believed Saddam had WMD's. Saddam violated over 12 UN Resolutions, and would not disclose his Nuclear capabilities to the UN which is what he agreed to in the cease fire. Saddam committed mass genocide and is one of the worst dictators in World history. The WMD's were not the only reason we went to war, but that is what Bsh and Powell emphasized. We did find WMD's in Iraq, just not the big bombs we thought were there.
